Social Security gets no Cola but Congress does(The leaders diss public but reward themselves)

Congress has, in their beneficence, decided that there will be no cost of living raise in 2010 for social security recipients.

Congress and the Senate on the other hand will receive a $4,700.00 cost of living allowance or whatever you want to call it in 2010.

The really dastardly part of it is that they have it fixed so that it is automatic and they, claiming plausible deniability, can say I didn’t vote for it.

A lot of people have been crying for relief from these parasites for a long time and the numbers are growing daily. This is just one more reason why we need to vote ALL incumbents out of office (we can no longer afford these bums, they are bleeding us dry).

We are sinking like the Titanic, while these ignorant schmucks continue leading the soft life at our expense, and choose not to see what should be as obvious as the nose on their faces.

In today’s Wall Street Journal, I read a headline on an article that says; “Obama says we need to keep spending our way back to jobs and prosperity”, and this Jackass went to Harvard!!!

NOTHING prevents any State from Taxing their increase away from them to pay for UNFUNDED FEDERAL PROGRAMS. The Kelo decision gave EVERY STATE the RIGHT to seize property for ECONOMIC purposes.

This is what a First Term congress critter gets

Rank-and-File Members:
The current salary (2009) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $174,000 per year.

Add $4,700 for 2010 and it's $178,700.

So they get a nice automatic 2.7% RAISE and granny gets ZERO, even though Medicare Part A and B deductions will increase for 2010. And Medicare Part D insurance is ALSO going up for 2010.

So Seniors and the Permanently Disabled ₍₁₎ will actually get LESS money in 2010, a LOT less. (if they got the lousy 2.7% like congress they'd *almost* break even for 2010).

We actually need to publicize this little factoid (All Federal Workers got a COLA increase - and am sure State Workers across the country have as well -

while Social Security beneficiaries did not
while military retirees did not
while millions are jobless and have NO salary to increase

Needs to make it to ALL the alternative media outlets.

Emphasize the amount Congress is getting - but emphasize the HUGE gap out there between those in the private and umployed sector and those in government....funded by TAXPAYERS....or by thin air since we are bankrupt everywhere.

Exactly. Sadly, too many voters stay with the “status quo”, rather than vote for anyone different.

Equally sad, those that DO get in, very quickly become as bad, and in many instances, worse than their predecessor.

Actually, it was passed through committe on 12-8-09 - and it’s a 1.5% with a .5% locality.

And ... it hasn’t been approved yet, still on the table. I’d imagine it will be taken off. I’ll be shocked if it goes through

Thats because, anyone different ends up doing the same thing. You get a couple dozen noobs up there, and they teach them the ropes. They all end up the same.

Who is going to make the laws that the writer of this article, and probably every american wants to see? Less pay, term limits, no hiring relatives, retirement pay at 65? Do we forget these jackasses decide the law? Who above them can change it? We cant change it. We couldnt even get anyone to listen to us about healthcare..an almost 2 million person march got downplayed, ignored and ridiculed.

I hate to rain on anyones parade..but nothing in this article, that we would like to see, will ever happen...no matter WHO you vote in and out. Once they win..the corruption starts.
