I live in the foothills and got an update from the Modesto Bee...snow advisory for all the way down to below sea level.
We do not live in snow country but if this holds true it isn’t going to be pretty. People around here have no idea how to drive in snow. And in the valley?? What a mess that will be.
I washed my car 2 weeks ago, and wouldnt you know, that great ash fall from the burn area landed on it by the next morning!

I saw a weather advisory that actually says ‘stock up on 48-72 hours’ worth of essentials and do not drive unless necessary’ for you guys. Stay home!!
I had no plans for all next week anyway..lol. If I run out of milk or bread we’ll just do without. (Actually, we have only 1 large grocery store here and it would take me about 3 minutes to walk there. Would be MUCH safer than driving.)
Hopefully, we have no power outages.
I hope not, too.
My forecast has changed to say that I could wake up to whiteness on Tuesday morning. (I’m in the desert near Edwards AFB). I’m gonna go bring in some firewood!
IT’S SNOWING. Has been for about an hour or more. Soft, light snowflakes. It’s a snow day for the kids in the neighborhood. They are all out having a snowball fight. Laughing and being kids. Haven’t seen them have this much fun in a very long time :0)

It has stopped. Right now it is so pretty and white but the sun is trying to come out so it will be melting and ugly in no time at all :( Oh well, they closed the highway and nobody could get anywhere so perhaps it’s best to stop early. But, it was a nice change.
They just issued a mandatory evac order for 9 homes in the Station fire burn area
