I gave money to the Swift Boat Vets (Jim O Neill) in 2004, he is what made that election enjoyable. I loved watching Kerry get mad, or act mad, he was so robotic.
JEFFREY SACHS: This is pretty serious. Not what happened(the global warming numbers fraud) , but how it’s being responded to(the outing) . Because this is really trying to Swiftboat science (Al Gore).

alleged that the real victims in this scandal are . . . the number-fudging scientists. People are attempting to "Swiftboat" those poor CRU guys, sighed Sachs. Wow! I can remember when getting caught in a lie was a BAD thing.
Now it's just another reason to be 'offended'.

In a nutshell, the state of anthropogenic global warming (the real issue, not the catchall "climate change") is:
1) Climategate has revealed fraudulent science, sloppy science, and political maneuvering to subvert peer review and good scientific process.
2) Recent research has definitively discredited the computer models that indicate that increasing CO2 will result in severe, runaway warming.
3) The paleoclimate record shows that our current climate is not at all unusual.
4) The last few years have shown no warming, instead, slight to moderate cooling depending on what dataset you use.
5) Ocean and CO2 levels are rising at a slower than expected rate, consistent with (3) above.
Conclusion: There is NO "global warming crisis" to justify wrecking our economy, lowering our standard of living, and transferring countless billions of dollars to "poor" countries. We must not stand for a single penny of taxpayer money to be spent on this fraud, and further we must repeal the absurd "CO2 is pollution" legislation.

The same lame defense Dan Rather used in Memogate has been trotted out on ClimateGate by Columbia Univ. Prof. Jeffrey Sachs. Jeffrey Sachs rants about the "religious right" and "separation of church and state":
"No Place for Piety" The New Scientist, November 8, 2003
He was upset because Bush wasn't funding "family planning" (i.e. abortion) worldwide.

I agree, people ARE trying to expose the lies of those science frauds.

You mean global warming is seared -- SEARED!! -- into their memory?
I didn't know that Mann, Jones, Briffa, and Hansen had been to Viet Nam or Cambodia.
Cheers!
