Tried to read the article but WUSA.com is down.
There have been may stories around the country about homeowners associations doing things like this and worse.
I don't suppose the ACLU would take this on but someone at FOX NEWS might.

Just heard this story, it's beyond
outrageous.
These HOAs need to be taken to task, hard.
I've been the president of one HOA and served as a board member on another and nothing was ever written in stone. Nothing.
May have been a 'board' member, fine & dandy.
But all of us were also dealing with & representing our neighbors, too.
This is pure BS.
