NORTH ANDOVER An annual "Merry Christmas" sign on a North Andover fire station has been ordered removed.
Town officials told firefighters last week to take down the homemade sign after they said people complained.
Fire Chief William Martineau said Monday that the sign was made by firefighters about 50 years ago and never had been an issue before.

Bull! Who complained? Nobody!
When people complain just tell them to get over it.
Mass-holes in Massachusetts.
Why does this not surprise me?
Those firefighters should tell the “Town officials” to come (try to) take it down themselves...
Surprising. North Andover is not a real moonbat town.
DO NOT get me started on “these” people............I worked for a company years ago and the company always had a Christmas tree in the lobby with an angel on top,,,,as was the norm, the tree went up with the angel, and lo and behold after about a day or so, the angel was gone....one person, one, count ‘em one person complained so the angel was removed because the company was afraid of being sued, the thing is there were a couple of entrances to this building, if said person was offended there were other entrances where this person could get in and out of the building without seeing the tree or the angel but rather than be inconvenienced by having to walk a couple of feet to use the other door he/she and we think it was a she because that year there were a couple of females that were hired, anyway rather than walk a few feet she made everyone else suffer.
They still can’t get over that beatdown applied to them by the Saints last night. That would make anyone up there a little sour.
Actual Americans and Christians must begin to stand up in these situations. Tell the “officials” to PISS OFF!!
They refused.
Soviet soldiers removed the cross.
The next morning another cross appeared and it was taken down.
The next morning the hill was covered with crosses and the government saw it was better to leave it alone.
Its now called "The Hill of Crosses" and every dignitary from President Reagan to the Pope has visited the Hill and brought a cross to add to the thousands.
I suggest the people of North Andover take a cue from the Lithuanians.
“...Those firefighters should tell the Town officials to come (try to) take it down themselves...”
The firefighters should find out who caused this problem. After that, if the troublemakers house(s) catch on fire, the firefighters should keep their trucks in the house. Let the place burn. Two can play at this game.
I’m writing Merry Christmas on all my envelope cards again this year and
every letter I write.
*sigh*
ROTFLMAO - great game!
As a life long Ram fan, my son, big Pat fan, is verbally abusive.
Dad got some revenge last night!
Read the article.
reminds me of the gnome tree along riverside drive here in holly hill florida..the road runs along the intra-coastal...well some people started a family of gnomes at the base of the tree...people that walk along the water stop with their kids and grandkids to take pictures etc...very nice....then one day we read that the folks that took care of the gnomes we ordered to take it down...seems someone from a town south of us drive by and complained about it....(yes virgina there are scrooges in the world....)
back in the late 80’s to early 90’s the city of st cloud florida fought the aclu in regards to a cross that was atop the city water tower for years and years....this was a sleepy little cowtown...one day the aclu came to town and found 1 person...an elderly jewish man that lived outside the city limits and filed the suit on his behalf...he stated that everytime he drove thru town and looked up at the cross it scared and upset him...the lawsuits finally became to much for the city to bear and they took the cross down...
Of course this dolt wouldn't have a clue that Christmas day is a national holiday.
