Member of Netanyahu's party: Obama regime is 'worst ever' for Israel; Vice PM cancels lecture after rightist protest.
Rank-and-file Likudniks and lawmakers in the ruling Likud party lambasted the Obama administration at a gathering on Saturday, in response to Israel's decision to temporarily freeze construction in West Bank settlements.
MK Dani Danon organized the meeting after Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat (Likud) launched a verbal attack over the matter on U.S. President Barack Obama's administration, which she branded "terrible."
While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately distanced himself from her comments, the activists at Saturday's conference leveled further criticism at Obama over the moratorium, which Israel undertook to carry out in the wake of tremendous U.S. pressure.
"The Obama administration is an enemy of the Jews and the worst regime there ever was for the State of Israel," said Yossi Naim, the head of the Beit Aryeh regional council, at the Ra'ana meeting. "I announce to Obama: You won't be able to stop us."
The mayor of the West Bank settlement of Ariel, Ron Nahman, called Netanyahu's announcement of the settlement freeze a disgrace.
Directing his comments to Livnat, he said: "I am proud and happy that you said what you said, because you had the public courage to say what most of the public feels ever since Obama came to power."
Nahman repeatedly referred to the U.S. leader as "Hussein Obama," omitting his first name.

HAIFA, ISRAEL - NOVEMBER 17: In this handout photo provided by the Israeli Government Press Office (GPO), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a visit to an Israeli navy base on November 17, 2009 in Haifa, Israel.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrives to a news conference in his office in Jerusalem November 25, 2009. Israel announced on Wednesday a plan to limit settlement construction for 10 months in a bid to revive peace negotiations with the Palestinians who said the partial moratorium did not meet their terms for talks.
Thanks CG
Well, they're probably right in that Obama is interested in being seen as having advanced a solution, which he'll call peace, but which in reality won't be in the interest of the Jews. On the other hand they should have a rally to blast the Netanyahu administration in response to Israel's decision to temporarily freeze construction...not America's decision. Of couse their 'enemy of the Jews' position I think would have more power if they acted like Jews and abided by the Shabbat.
Stop showing all these manly pix of Bibi. He is just bending over to Obama and to Hamas like their bitch. He is obsessed with satisfying the Israeli media by releasing terrorists for that baby-faced doofus Schalit who they captured in Gaza. He should let him stay captured and tell his stupid family to shut up. And he had no reason to do a “settlement” freeze for the Jew -hating Obama. Hussein Obama has no ability to get Congress to punish Israel, so why is Bibi so afraid of America’s “First Imam”?
WTH ping
I’m not sure “fury” adequately covers the sentiment.
I’ve heard at least one open call in the Israeli media to, quote, “overthrow the government.”

Very bad times coming up for everybody.
Obama is an enemy of the USA, the grandest place on earth.
What? I don’t know where to begin with your comments.
Thank you Cinnamon Girl. This is so sad, I really like BiBi and always have. I wish he did not give in to the horrible Obama.
My hope is that Bibi has a larger strategy afoot.......and that it is revealed soon.

Oh, yum. I’ll just look at this instead of having breakfast ;-).
I'm sorry that Bibi does anything at all to placate the Zero administration and its orc-hordes, but this seems to be a gesture that's not going to make much difference, except symbolically.
(/looking on the bright side ...)
What a man, what a great leader. The REAL people in this Country embrace Israel and are 100% behind Israel and want to help them in ANY way we can.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, left, and Cabinet Secretary Tzvi Hauser are seen outside the cabinet meeting room in Jerusalem, Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009. Netanyahu heads to Berlin on Monday for a special joint session of the German and Israeli governments, a symbolic visit that highlights the strong bond between the two nations six decades after the Holocaust.
I have read Bibi’s writing, listened to his speeches, and watched him debate over many years. He is far more intelligent and rational than his detractors. Whatever he does, I’ll wager there is a reason for it.
Matter of fact, I don't trust ours at...ALL.
