India’s cabinet has decided to speed up work on the 8ft security fence, which is intended to keep out terrorists and arms smugglers. The fence, which cuts a swathe through some of India’s densest rainforests, will be finished by the end of next year and patrolled by a border security force. Key stretches are being electrified.

I googled for news related to Islamic terrorists after reading about the anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks and this is what I find! India has a fence and they've electrified it? Anyone else know more about this? Out in the US, there would be protests that it endangered buffaloes and wolves and that it was unfair to the illegal immigrants trying to cross the border.

Unless that wall is three feet thick concrete, extends down 20 feet and has a walkway with armed guards every twenty feet … it will accomplish nothing.

I think my point got missed. It was about not being PC but stating that Moslem terrorists need to be kept out. I don’t know about the effectiveness of the fence in India.

Yep, they put together a wall much thicker, higher and deeper than anything the Indians propose. An eight foot fence wouldn’t keep me out and I’m old and decrepit. ;-)

And how do they suppose they are going to deal with all of the Indian and Bangladesh enclaves?

That's gonna take some fancy fencing!

Yes, when it patrolled with men carry machine guns that will use them and let the tigers clean up the evidence mess.
