Not a huge deal since, according to his spokesman, he’s more inclined to challenge Menendez for New Jersey’s Senate seat in 2012 than run for prez, but it’s still worth flagging given the running debate we’ve been having about third parties. Just think of me as Groundskeeper Willie. I warned ye. Didn’t I warn ye?

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that if the choice is between President Obama, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Dobbs, Obama leads 42% to 34% with Dobbs pulling 14% of the vote.

With Mike Huckabee as the Republican nominee, Obama leads 42% to 36%, with Dobbs at 12%.

If Sarah Palin is the GOP nominee, it’s Obama 44%, Palin 37% and Dobbs 12%…

With Dobbs out of the equation, Obama and Romney are tied at 44%, Obama leads Huckabee 45% to 41%, and the president leads Palin 46% to 43%.

Statistically insignificant differences between the R’s.

These people keep throwing in Romney and Huckabee. I refuse to vote for either.

I will vote for anybody else except Obama.

I doubt he would run for president.

I think the Republican nominee will be someone other than Romney, Huck or Palin...and I think 2012 will be the political end of the line for Dear Reader. Think Carter.

The idea of a split vote in ‘012 scares the hell out of me.

I have the feeling that the GOP nominee (and ultimate victor) will come from the ranks of the young, conservative GOP congressment.

I think its more likely he will run for Senate. He’s positioning against this opponent. To be honest, he’s coming across as a very dishonest politican who will admend position just to get elected

I’m sure Dobbs won’t run for president. The senate would be fine.

Does Dobbs have any experience other than radio/TV???

Has he managed a company, lead a military unit, etc???

You are so right. I personally know conservatives who voted for Perot, including my own brothers.

He’s not going to run for President; he knows he wouldn’t win as a 3rd party candidate, so there’s no gain in it.
