If you haven't heard yet, ConcreteBob was having problems Tuesday night and went to the hospital Wednesday morning where it was determined that he had suffered a heart attack.
[Mrs] T and I visited ConcreteBob on Saturday and as one can see, he is in good spirits.
CB says that he is being a model patient, not complaining or moaning about anything. But that didn’t keep his nurse from almost having her own heart attack when walking by ConcreteBob’s room and seeing the cigar.
Just this past Saturday ConcreteBob was at Walter Reed putting on Cooking for the Wounded, Phase II. BlackFive’s report with pictures is HERE.
The below email is still accurate as of Sunday, 9-22. Wednesday, 9-25, and after the surgery his room will obviously change. We’ll keep you posted on any other room changes as we get it.
Not mentioned below is the delay in surgery is to let Bob’s heart get its strength back. Also, that Bob smoking his last cigarette for a while as he went to the hospital.

"I spoke with Bob’s wife a little bit ago. She said that all test thus far indicate no damage or issues with any other organs, etc. Doctor wants to do breathing tests tomorrow. At this time open heart surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25th. Bob and I had a discussion about that earlier tonight. Wednesday is my birthday so his present to me is to have a TOTALLY successful surgery and get home ASAP. His spirits are great (not a surprise) and he is touched by the number of people who are thinking about him.
Bob’s wife is very anxious about the surgery as can be expected. She said that she has spoken with a couple of people who say that Bob’s surgeon is fabulous so she feels a bit better about that. She said she has a great support system there with family and the church. I asked her to please consider us family too and to let us know if there is anything we can do for either of them. She was grateful.

As everyone knows, while being in good spirits, Bob needs all of our prayers for his surgery and speedy recovery. CB has his laptop going and is posting on FR so he’ll read any messages sent to him.

ConcreteBob, prayers sent for you, your bride, and your doctors for a successful day on Wednesday. We are glad the Lord has seen fit to keep you here with us a while longer. So He must have a special plan for you.

Prayers for Bob and family.
Two folks I know had medical conditions the same week: the guy with the heart attack is up and about, still working as a professor and musician, etc. His doc told him — “Hearts are just pumps. We adjust the plumbing and you are all better.” The other had a stroke — he continues to deal with the after-effects and is not doing well. Brains are so complex.
It sounds like our friend is in Good Hands.
He sent His Word and healed ConcreteBob..Psalm 107:20
