Anyone who expected Vice President Biden to yuk it up with "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart on Tuesday night was sorely disappointed.
There were no goofs, gaffes or slips of the tongue of the kind that have gotten Biden in trouble during his career.
Instead, the vice president was mostly vice presidential.
Smiling often and clearly at ease, Biden, led by Stewart's questions, focused on defending the Obama administration's ambitious policies from resuscitating the economy to health care reform.
But Biden, the first sitting vice president to appear on the show, did manage to set Stewart up for a few laughs, once saying "we're getting resistance" from Congress on financial reform.
"Stop it," gasped Stewart in mock shock.
Later, while trying to compare the Democratic and Republican parties, Biden said his party has "moderates, liberals and conservative Democrats" only to have Stewart blurt out "and Communists."
The gag poked fun at right-wing Republicans who've continually tried to brand the Dems with far left labels and drew a big laugh from the studio audience.
Before Biden's appearance, an NYPD unmarked car traveling ahead of his motorcade crashed into a livery cab in rush-hour traffic on the West Side, police said.
The motorcade for Biden was not involved in the 5:40 p.m. smashup, a police source said, and the vice president was not injured.
Two detectives and the livery driver were taken to Roosevelt Hospital with neck and back injuries. All three were treated and released, police said.

Was this no-gaff show before or after Biden and his motorcade smashed up some cars in Manhattan?

I've only seen Jon Stewart in bits and pieces such as on the chow hall TV and what I've seen makes me think it may be the latter.

These are the same slime who use “McCartheyesque” (the Left’s word not mine) techniques to fabricate Rush Limbaugh “quotes” and it isn’t a witchhunt, hysteria, or paranoia.
Nope. It is “fake but accurate” and the people “need to know!”.
Meanwhile there STILL is a Communist Party USA and they cheered the election of Barack Obama.
They are on record espousing Marxism, championing Communism and Communist leaders.

Judging from my two very lib sisters, lots of them get their news from him. They actually think he makes fun of everyone and that he's even handed to the left and right.
Liberalism has to be some kind of mental disease.
I hope Jon Stewart saves the blue dress he wore for the interview.
Of course, even if he DID do that, since when would the freakin' suckup media ever hold Plugs to account??
