When the Sheikh walks: A guilty verdict isn't guaranteed for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed
The Washington Times ^ | November 18, 2009 | Editorial

Posted on 11/17/2009 6:31:36 PM PST by Abakumov

The government is going to be in a position where it either has to defend the process that brought the Sheikh to court or seek ways to prevent these issues from arising. However, because Mr. Obama promised that Mr. Mohammed would enjoy the most exacting demands of justice, they probably will be given a full airing. We await a further explanation from the president to clarify how this makes the country safer, particularly if Mr. Mohammed leaves New York a free man.

The “leaves a free man” scenario, if it actually happens, will implode on Holder, Barry, and a number of Dems like a bag full of iron ore bricks.

Makes me yearn for the return of tarring and feathering coupled with public hangings.

You better be careful with your words. Rev. Manning got a visit from the CIA and the Secret Service.

Someone should have pulled the lever and FLUSH the toilet. Lot’s of people who vote are going to be moved in their voting patterns...during these hearings.

I heard a frightening analysis tonight: If KSM is not freed for not having been Mirandized, then it creates a new legal precedent for all U.S. citizens.

So, either KSM is freed (a travesty), and the Bill of Rights is preserved; or he is convicted, and the Bill of Rights is superseded by new precedent (a travesty).

Obama wins either way; and U.S. citizens lose either way.

Can you belive it? What a Clown. The perfect Liberal idiot. Only the USA could survive this farce. Our nuke subs will keep the wolves away unless he scraps them.

The elephant in the room is Obama’s anti-Americanism. It’s a fact as obvious as it is unspeakable, but at some point, conservative pundits are going to have to speak openly about it. It is the only thing that explains everything that Obama does, but conservative pundits are still throwing up their arms in apparent bewilderment over why Obama does what he does. It isn’t stupidity. It isn’t incompetence. It’s Obama’s lifelong hatred of America that explains it all.

The only people on that jury will be the ones too dumb to get out of jury duty, especially for that trial. And those people might be dumb enough not to convict.

If they convict, I sure hope that they can maintain some sort of anonymity.

I suspect a hung jury, mistrial and another hung jury, repea until the charges are dropped. How can he get a “jury of his peers” if there is no Mohammedan on it? What Mohammedan would commit suicide by voting “guilty,” even if so inclined?

The whole Miranda business was cooked up by liberals to level the playing field between cops and crooks (crooks being poor oppressed victims of The Man you see). I would consider it a bonus if the KSM case somehow did away with Miranda.
