Jon Corzine is definitely open to running Bank of America.
There haven't been any formal talks between the outgoing New Jersey Governor and the board of Bank of America, according to news reports. Part of the reason for this might be that the chairman of the board, Walter Massey, is on vacation.

Why are they eager to hire Corzine? If they really want a loser, they should wait until Gov. Granholm becomes available.
are the hiring the crook or is he really taking it over?
Granholm’s not available.
She’ll be running General Motors.
Holy crap! I have money in this bank! They are hiring a straight CROOK to run it? I am taking my money out NOW via electronic means. Be right back.
Former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine said on Thursday in a news conference that he has not spoken with Bank of America (BAC: 15.98, -0.09, -0.56%) about becoming the bank’s CEO. Corzine, who previously served as a Goldman Sachs (GS: 176.87, -1.49, -0.84%) executive, said he had been reading books instead of preparing to join Bank of America.
Addressing reports by BusinessWeek and the The Wall Street Journal,Corzine said in the conference that he has “never thought about” joining Bank of America as CEO, and that he does not see the company as part of his future.
Too late. Its done. I’ll move the money back when I’m sure he’s not involved.
Anyone who still has money in BOA a) doesn’t read the news and b) hasn’t actually tried to deal with BOA in the last 10 years. The fact that BOA hasn’t yet been siezed by the government just shows that even the fed isn’t willing to scoop up that flaming bag of crap.
This posting needed a giant barf alert!
How is organized crime any different than these guys in office?
He was such an outstanding success running NJ, I can understand why BofA would be thrilled to have him running the joint.
I don’t see any difference. This is really Zero taking over the bank with Corzine as consigliere.
Had a BOA credit card, but canceled it when they took TARP.
.
Don't forget, Corzine was General Manager of Goldman Sachs before he ran for Governor.
