Obama Says He Would Be ‘Honored’ to Visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki Friday, November 13, 2009

(CNSNews.com) – Visiting the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki – targets of a U.S. atomic bomb attack that hastened the end of World War II – would be “meaningful,” President Obama said Friday in Tokyo.

“I certainly would be honored – it would be meaningful for me to visit those two cities in the future. I don’t have immediate travel plans, but it’s something that would be meaningful to me.”

In an interview with a Japanese network earlier this week, Obama said something similar: "The memories of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are etched in the minds of the world, and I would be honored to have the opportunity to visit those cities at some point during my presidency," he said on Tuesday.

Obama, at a joint press conference on Friday with the Japanese prime minister, also lauded the “distant goal” of achieving a world without nuclear weapons.

He’ll continue to communicate (this time in a very visible setting) that America will not use its big stick regardless of the provocation. Iran and North Korea will correctly interpret this surrender message.

“Hiroshima and Nagasaki – targets of a U.S. atomic bomb attack that hastened the end of World War II..”

####

Ummmmmm.... No.

Nuking those two cities DID end World War II. Emphatically.

The America-hating Kenyan d%@head should instead be RECEIVING profuse thanks FROM the millions of Japanese, whose lives were SAVED by the US finally taking out the fanatical Japanese, who had their country on a path of TOTAL destruction.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Aren't those cities devastated by radioactive contamination for thousands of years?

They must not be there. He's just going to visit the site and apologize for the devastation.

more of the apologize tour........

You mean more of the narcissist tour.

“I certainly would be honored – it would be meaningful for me to visit those two cities in the future. I don’t have immediate travel plans, but it’s something that would be meaningful to me. . . . and I would be honored to have the opportunity to visit those cities at some point during my presidency,"

As usual, it's all about him.

I just have a bad feeling about this. We’ll see if they do the right thing. They haven’t so far. Look at the Panther’s voter intimidation case and the SEIU beating of a man at one of the healthcare rallies. They haven’t even made it to court, and probably never will.

The Left manipulated their account of WWII to slam President Boosh.

They said that the Iraq war took longer than WWII.

Except WE did not enter the war until late late 1941 (even though for others it'd been under way since 1938). WWII did not BEGIN with the US entry into it.

And we ENDED it with 3 nuclear bombs (one dropped stateside in a test).

IF the Left would permit the use of nukes, things might come to a rapid conclusion.
