WASHINGTON (AP) -- Self-proclaimed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees will be sent to New York to face trial in a civilian federal court, an Obama administration official said Friday.

So when AG Holder intercedes and drops the case against KSM, he’ll be released with million$ in retributions? I would put NOTHING past this regime.
Mighty scary, isn’t it? I guess this is how he is going to close Gitmo.
For all their bellyaching for a civilian trial, watch the defense immediately move to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction and to transfer the trial to a new venue for prejudice.
I knew there was a reason that the Feds moved to take over the mosques and the ‘skyscraper’ yesterday. Showing their strength yesterday to offset their stupidity today — totally politically motivated.
And the claim will be that waterboarding is torture and it violated his civil rights.
It only takes one sympathetic Muzzie juror to hang the jury. What is to stop terrorists here from terrorizing the families of the jury or witnesses?
There are other liberal, anti-death-penalty districts out there. There aren’t any other districts, however, where the defendants slaughtered 3000 people.
I think they’d rather not have a New York jury.
Well, I think their argument is going to be that they can’t get a fair trial in the city that took the brunt of 9/11.
And I believe they will be successful in moving it. How about Detroit? That jury pool would work nicely for the terrorist.
Yeah, and there’s certainly plenty of potential jurors with nothing better to do in Detroit. Or they could go to Northern California, where 9/11 is ancient history that happened in another country.
If I were defense counsel, I would want it moved to Detroit, Seattle, Santa Monica, or San Francisco.
