I purposely highlighted this part of the article, because I am stunned beyond belief that the McCain campaign made Palin pay the fees they incurred to vet her for the V.P. nod. $500,000?!!

Absolutley disgraceful treatment from someone who should know how people need to be treated, especially someone who supports you!

The dude survived cruel treatment for a long time and I saw him as a hero, but I guess so many years of the good life have erased his memory of the two sides of humanity.

I’m not going to believe anything CBS prints.

I’ll wait for the book.

I'll bet nobody had to pay anything to vet Obama because he likely never was...

THIS SHOULD BE RULE #1 FOR CONSERVATIVES.

DO NOT agree to any interview without taping the interview in its entirety and post it on you tube before the said interview is broadcast. That way the spin and editing of the piece can be contrasted with the raw interview.

This would have a natural calibrating effect on MSM when their BS is showing.

McCain would have weakened the Republican party even from it’s weak state. One thing Obama did was to strengthen and focus the conservative movement. McCain is ancient history, and thank God!

about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod... She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

In other words, to be blunt, McCain charged her half a million for the privilege of helping him.

The guy is shameful. He has a long history of this kind of double-dealing. I swore for two years that I would sit home before I'd vote for the two-faced conman, and in the end I ate my own words and voted for him. Every so often he rubs my face in it.

I was equally stunned. (Poor bebber.) I thought it would be up to those who were doing the picking to pay the bills! This just makes me more angry than ever at politicians. They are hidious craven animals!

... but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.

What a damn snake McCain is. He should be asked about this every time he sticks his face in front of a camera, from now until hell freezes over.

That POS needs to go down in the primary, or before.

no wonder McCain looked worried when he was asked about Palin’s book, he had every right to be worried. I sincerely hope she doesn’t go and campaign for him next year, I’d rather see her endorse and campaign for someone challenging him in a primary, I don’t even care if it’s just another RINO, it’s time for McCain to pack up and go live in one of his 7 houses.

But they vetted her BEFORE she agreed to be his running mate.

Right?

maybe, just maybe, instead of doing what a kos kid would do and edit the line you should have put the entire line in.
“And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about one-tenth of the $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod. “
So it was one tenth of $500,000 or $50,000. No reason to mislead people. Even charging her the first dollar was wrong and deserves righteous indignation.
When people go now and tell someone McCain charged her a half million dollars for vetting they’ll look prety dumb.

I’m not quite sure that whining about the media treatment is a good way to go for Sarah. We all know that Gibson and Couric were hostile. But whining about it does no good. Sarah did not perform well on either interview, that’s for sure. She admits it in the Oprah interview. Kicking the crap out of Couric and Gibson doesn’t erase the fact that she didn’t have her “A” game during those interviews. She should get over it and move on.

Good night, I didn't realize McCain was such a vindictive creep. Can this possibly be true?
