Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina is trying to literally take Sen. Barbara Boxer's title from her.
Fiorina has launched a new Web site, callmebarbara.com, to attack her opponent and create a future where people call the senator by her first name, rather than using her title and her last name.
"Call me Barbara is an effort to ensure that nobody ever has to call Barbara Boxer 'Senator' ever again," the site reads.
The site's name is in response to a situation earlier this year when Sen. Boxer asked Brigadier General Michael Walsh to call her "senator" instead of "ma'am" during a Senate hearing.
"It's just a thing. I worked so hard to get this title," she said. "So I would appreciate it. Thank you."
Though a Fiorina statement on the new Web site promises information on Boxer's record and effectiveness, so far the site only has the video of Boxer making the title request.

I know nothing about Carly’s political views but I suspect she’s a RINO. In any case after what she did to HP she will NEVER get my vote, not even if she ran against Obama.

House Bank is still "open" in some memories
While I dislike Carly, I love this move.
If only Carly had shown such forward creativity at HP and Lucent.
Kinda make me like Fiorina just a little more. I thought she was RINO-ish, but this gives me hope she has some stones.
"There is no job that is America's God-given right anymore. We have to compete for jobs."
Sounds good.. except try living in an American city on fifty cents a day. Five dollars a day if you can program. :)
I have no intention of voting for either one.
The correct response to her should’ve been:
You’re a politician, not royalty. Your job is to serve the citizenry, not lord over serfs.
I had forgotten that she said this: “There is no job that is America’s God-given right anymore. We have to compete for jobs.”
Fiorina was not including herself when she said “we.” She never had to compete for a job. While at AT&T, she became Rich McGinnis’ protege. After a few high-level positions, she ended up at Lucent and we know how well that turned out, and then on to HP.
She is a real winner: Lucent, HP, McCain’s campaign.
What a shame that this is the best the CA Republicans can offer.
Fiorina is a vile woman.
Well, I agree with her on that one. We do have to compete for jobs. Our competitors use chinese and mexican labor, so we have to also. But the good jobs don’t leave because of labor rates, they leave because of high tax rates. The only nation that has a higher tax rate than us is Japan, and their economy sucks too.
She hasn’t won the Primary yet. She’s not the GOP nominee yet.
Of course the real conservative choice candidate, Chuck DeVore, has pounded Boxer on this issue already...
Carly is Boxer light!!!
The only difference is whether there is a D or am R behind the name.
You’re right. She is not the GOP nominee, but isn’t she backed by them?
The Drudge ad today was excellent, as well as the landing page
She is a RINO, and a newbie to politics too. I am a Californian and I support Chuck DeVore, a conservative.

Washington, DC Support for United States Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina grew today as she earned the endorsements of eight Republican United States Senators including Tom Coburn, Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham, Jon Kyl, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski and Olympia Snowe.
On a visual note, she's got a new super-short man haircut, which looks really weird. She also has a very strange head-wagging problem when she talks - watch the videos.
I'm supporting DeVore
