General George Casey Jr., the Army chief of staff, said on Sunday that he was concerned that speculation about the religious beliefs of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, accused of killing 12 fellow soldiers and one civilian and wounding 30 0thers in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, could “cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers.”
“I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that,” General Casey said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union. “It would be a shame — as great a tragedy as this was — it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well.”
Question 2: Why is ethnic diversity considered a strength in itself, when so much of human history suggests otherwise?
If I may quote Mark Steyn for Gen Casey’s enlightenment:
“So far it is Muslims: 0; Non-Muslims: 13.”
What about the plans so this “never happens again”?

It seems we have reached the point that the percentage of treasonous moles in military accurately reflects the percentage in the general population. The diversity Czars should be very proud.
I heard from a rather reliable source 20 years ago that they were beginning to teach PC and DIVERSITY nonsense at the military academies and making it mandatory for older officers as a follow-on course. Looks like Casey took one or more of them.

Why is the Army Chief of Staff more worried that Muslims might get their wittle feewings hurt than about the well being of all the non-Muslims in the Army who appear to have big targets painted on their backs, thanks to the Army’s PC policies?

This is an insult to loyal Muslim-Americans. The terrorist would have gunned down genuine Muslims had they been present, along with everybody else. Remember that most victims of mindless militant “Islamic” violence are Muslims, spectacular one-time events like 9/11 to the contrary.
Remember that Franklin Roosevelt put Japanese-Americans in concentration camps while Japanese-Americans served loyally in uniform. You are effectively doing to Muslims, many of whom emigrated to get away from their Third World garbage holes, what FDR did to Japanese-Americans.
Discrimination against someone for their race and gender should be wrong because that's something you're born with.
Discrimination against someone for their attitudes, beliefs and even culture should be on the table all day long, everyday.
Ethnic diversity is a dangerous to any armed force. It was hard enough during WWII for us and the Brits to get our acts together, and we are close cousins. We are lucky that we had shut off mass immigration after WWI, so that the men of our armed forces were men of a common language and similar culture.

Why do we gladly allow people into our armed services whose religion condones suicide for it’s God and the killing of nonbelievers? The U.S. helped the Muslims slaughter Christians in Kosovo, and now pour billions of dollars into Iraq and Afghanistan as our own country collapses. All I can say is.. WTF? It’s pointless for Muslims to attack us. They don’t need to. We’re destroying ourselves.

Taking the time to attempt to distinguish between murderous bastard muslims and non-murderous bastard muslims puts one’s life at risk. Sorry, you lose. No muslim should be allowed near any position of power, or authority, or anything other than a room with padded walls.
What I don’t get is that when I was in the AF, I had to have a “secret” clearance. Any screwup or subversive activity would result in loss of that clearance and job. Have things changed that much sense 1980?

There is a reason why you do not hear Muslims denouncing Hasan wholesale. Its because Hasan was following anesoteric path of Muslim meditation and prayer, the path of the Mujahid. The prayers allededly open up the persons soul to be possessed by the righteous energy of ALLAH, allowing a practitioner to then wage jihad on behalf of the Umma. The practitioner becomes possessed by Allah, knowing he will die , and then be reborn into paradise ALONG WITH THE VICTIMS HE SACRIFICED.
Thats the fact everyone is ignoring.The man who visited Hasan that morning gave him his last rites.
That means what Hasan did was not murder.IT WAS RELIGIOUS GENOCIDE. A WAR CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY. RITUAL FREAKING GENOCIDE.
The Muslims all across America know that this was a religious ritual of the Mujihadeen. It was done FOR them. Why should they decry it?

I don't know what that means exactly. Situational awareness and stereotypes are perfectly logical and natural defenses. Is that bad? This man has a point. We don’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past. However, I do think that professing “Muslim” members of the military need to be watched more closely. For two reasons....to look for signs of betrayal to the U.S. and to ensure they aren’t the targets of persecution.

Casey should be concerned about all his troops. He should let the Mohammedan troops know that if they do not shape up, they will be shipped out through Fort Leavenworth.
