REMEMBER? 5 Found Guilty In Fort Dix Terror Plot. Muslims Convicted. Now Little Rock & Ft. Hood...
idiots4obama.com ^ | November 7, 2009 | staff

Posted on 11/07/2009 6:43:31 AM PST by kellynla

The plan to attack the Fort Dix Army Base in New Jersey this year, they wanted to "kill as many soldiers as possible!"

Five Muslim immigrants accused of scheming to massacre U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix were convicted of conspiracy Monday in a case that tested the FBI's post-Sept. 11 strategy of infiltrating and breaking up terrorist plots in their earliest stages.

The men could get life in prison when they are sentenced in April.

The five, who lived in and around Philadelphia for years, were found guilty of conspiring to kill U.S. military personnel. But they were acquitted of attempted murder, after prosecutors acknowledged the men were probably months away from an attack and did not necessarily have a specific plan. Four defendants were also convicted of weapons charges.

The federal jury deliberated for 38 hours over six days.

"I think the verdicts reflect both the strength and weakness of the government's case," said CBS News legal analyst Andrew Cohen. "Jurors believed clearly that the men were up to no good, and there was certainly some evidence to support that, but also that they didn't actually do enough to warrant a conviction on attempted murder."

The government said after the arrests in 2007 that case underscored the dangers of terrorist plots hatched on U.S. soil. Although investigators said the conspirators were inspired by Osama bin Laden, they were not accused of any ties to foreign terror groups.

Defense lawyers argued that the alleged plot was all talk — that the men weren't seriously planning anything and that they were manipulated and goaded by two paid FBI informants.

Faten Shnewer, the mother of defendant Mohamad Shnewer, said the informants should be the ones in jail. "Not my son and his friends. It's not right, it's not justice," she said after the verdict. The government "sent somebody to push him to say something; that's it."

Don't forget Sgt. Akbar in 2003.

This case, IMHO, is most similar to that one.

Hasan openly opposed America's foreign policy, on multiple occassions. He was appalled at being called up to Aghanistan, believing it was wrong for Muslims to be killing Muslims (as if though that has ever stopped them in their own lands). He spoke of more Muslims needing to rise up against America after the Little Rock Arkansas recruiter killing. He posted on the internet likening Islamic suicide bombers to American GIs that jump on a grenade to save their friends.

I do not blame other officers and soldiers for ostracizing the man or calling him on his open comments where he was siding with the enemy. I blame Hasan himself, and the system that kept him in place after he so openly opposed his own and sided with the enemy. The man should have certainly been nowhere near soldiers returning from or shipping out to the war zone...and should have been drummed uncerimoniously and without honor out of the service.

This was a case of Jihad within the ranks plain and simple, as I say, like Sgt. Akbar's despicable actions in 2003.

Hopefully this Jihadist will get the same sentence as Akbar got and they both will be more quickly carried out.

Obama's response (or more appropriately named, non-response) has also been disgusting, IMHO.

If the FBI would pull its head out of the sand for a second, you hear them saying that there’s no pattern here. No organization. Therefore it’s not terrorism. After all, it isn’t like a white guy shooting an abortion doc, right? Now, that’s terrorism!! And so are Tea Parties! And Right-Wing websites! And taxpayers with guns! And people with NRA bumper stickers! And veterans!

Hey wait....that’s it. Hasan was PREVENTING terrorism! Yeah. There’s your talking point for tomorrow, liberal media.

MSM (except FOX and CNN) coverage was awful and biased.

Rachel Maddow had some creepy-looking doofus from Rolling Stone talking about PTSD on a totally different military base. Keith Olberman had some guy from Salon saying the Army had to ask itself what it was doing wrong that caused this guy to go off.

PTSD is the red herring they’re waving in front of America to distract from the real cause: Islamic fanaticism.

Last night on CNN’s AC360 it was reported that neighbors of Hasan said he NEVER had visitors - except once - the day before the killings and that visitor was wearing Muslim garb. Hummm . . .

Don't forget the F'ing Mohammed that murdered a lot of innocent civilians at a Salt Lake City shopping mall on Valentine's Day 2007.

The Mohammed was shouting "allah akbar" as he was shooting the people dead.

It was an off-duty police officer that waxed the Mohammed, but the facts of the case are the facts of the case.

The Fumbling Bumbling Idiots are too busy labeling Americans as terrorists if they bring their children to a non-violent tea party protest and wave the American flag.

Meanwhile, MAJ Mohammed murders and attempts to murder lots of American Soldiers and it's "not a terrorist incident."

God help us all, because the FBI sure isn't.

His neighbor told a reporter he lived w/his “brother” who looked like him. She said some woman and child visited and some men. This wasn’t an isolated guy, let alone how tough is it to reach people on the net? Use a second puter and dump it.

I listened to all my friends tell me that Obama's policies would result in another terrorist attack on our soil and they said it would be his undoing. Hannity, Rush, O'Reilly, Malkin and Ingram all said the same thing. A terrorist attack because of Obama's stance on foreign policy and his feel good, be nice to the bad guy approach to fighting radical Islam would be his downfall.

B.S.

I said that the Government and media would cover things up and down play it so that it looks less like a terrorist attack and deflect the blame away from Obama and I was right. This was the worst terrorist attack on the U.S. since 9/11 and the media and our Federal agencies are calling it anything but an attack. Look at any left wing blog and it's the same story.

Always it is “ask what WE did wrong to bring this on.” Isn’t it like saying a woman “asked” to be raped, or like a battered wife trying to figure out what SHE is doing wrong to get beaten up? It is simply a convenient mind game.

Notice when they call tea party people terrorists, they never, ever, ever self-reflect in this way. They just call us bad, stupid and insane.

I didn't hear that he had a roommate or a woman and child visitors. CNN interviewed a black fellow who say that he lived next door and Hasan sometimes used his computer. He stated that he was questioned by the authorities for 4 hours and that his computer has been confiscated.

There is a 5th Column in this nation. It begins with the 20,000 Muslims serving in our military. I pray all have been vetted. Many are good Americans but....Then there are the mosques and madrasses in the USA. Hoping the FBI is bugging each and every one of them. The PC idea of being so tolerant is killing this nation as it is in Britain, Spain, Germany and France. Just visit there and see for yourself.

What about the shooting in Seattle at the Jewish center?

Haven't heard a thing about that in ages!

The religion of peace also has the despicable beheading of a moslem woman by her moslem husband!

What of the man who ran down his daughter on purpose?

Everyone of these murdering terrorists are muslim!

They are only living up to the demands of their crazy allah/mohammed!

Actually I agree but to go half cocked on that could lead to violence from the unwashed. What we need are real non PC investigations linking all of these mosques, madrasses to terror and demand from police, FBI authorities to stop suppressing info and go after them. When I see real Muslim protests on any Islamofascist terror round the globe, then I will start to trust. After all, in that 20,000 Muslim infusion in our military, few have done what this murderer has done. But, I wonder how they are vetted. You do not know any more than I do on that so it will be interesting to see if Lieberman actually does investigate fully all of these links as he said today.
