Twelve soldiers were murdered in cold blood at Fort Hood, Texas. Thirty others were wounded. Our Commander in Chief calls a press conference and begins it with a long thanks to the Department of the Interior and Native Americans who just concluded a conference and then gives a good natured ''shout out'' to an attendee , all with a studied nonchalance, before he even mentions the outrage on our military base.
Linda Chavez calls it, "Obama's pet goat moment."

I mentioned this to a Liberal and they were shocked. "What? You're going to make a big deal out of that?? This is nothing! Why are you making a mountain out of a molehill? Your Republicans just hate this guy, don't you??"

The nation was glued to the TV set to hear from the POTUS re. a massacre at Ft. Hood TX. Our illustrious leader started off his speech in a jovial matter (reminiscent of Biden’s “stand up Chuck). Midway through the speech he talks of the shooting at the base. It was very dissapointing especially coming from the so-called CIC. One could get the impression that he doesn’t give a rat’s rear end about our troops.
He’s not clueless....he’s leaving clues all over the place as to what is important to him.
Obama:
“ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME”
oh yeah... LOOK AT ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME

Yes he did and for the first two minutes was thanking and giving “shout outs” to a bunch of people before he even began to talk about the “murdered troops”. Then when he finally began to talk about the Fort Hood massacre, he did it from notes on the podium. He couldn’t even speak from the heart because he doesn’t have one.
he came on the tv, and i turned up the volume to hear what he had to say.......withing 5 seconds i was screaming at the tv...this guy is a piece of work, and is NOT my president..who the hell does this guy think he is???? my wife has not heard me scream at the tv like that before ( i even scared myself )
Any guesses as to what kind of media reaction there would have been if it were "W" that had made this misidentification?

Face it- “O” doesn’t know jack s$#@ about the United States, its institutions, traditions, governmental processes, history, values....etc.
“O” was packaged like a new cereal and foisted onto the American public scene. He has done NOTHING to justify his handlers’ opinion of him and continues to prove, DAILY, that he has NO fitness for the Presidency.
You would think that at some point he’d sit down with an some kind of basic ‘how-to’ book to avoid looking like a tourist in the WH. You can take what this clown knows about America and stuff it into the navel of a flea, and still have room for a galaxy!!!

Obama, had the distinct responsibility to acknowledge the horror in Texas and prayers for the fallen, BEFORE pandering to his audience.
He isn’t Commander In Chief since he refuses to prove he is eligible to be President.

I loved Obama’s use of the phrase “winner” regarding the award. I guess those raffle tickets really paid off for old Joe.
Since I assume none of the Ft. Hood victims were direct desendents of Sitting Bull, any mention of the shooting deserved second fiddle at Obama’s Pow Wow.
The Fort Hood atrocity seemed to be an inconvenient interruption to The O’s finely tuned speech.
In his brief acknowledgement of the atrocity, he stammered and spoke in a very awkward manner, as if the atrocity was a ‘oh, by the way, a bunch of people got shot at some military base, now back to my regularly scheduled speech, as that kind of stuff really puts a burden on ME.’
IIR Obama was ending a conference on Native Americans. His *UP CHUCK* gaffe ala Biden, made reference to a Medicine Crow whom he had given the Medal of Freedom (civilian) but he blew it and said the man *won* the Medal of Honor (military).
You have to wonder what does a narcissist do after he has made a complete fool of himself (on a regular basis)??
Ponder the narcissists in history and reflect how they went berserk!!!

Did anyone else notice Nancy Pelosi who, having made her appearance at the “moment of silence” in the house, could not wait to put down that microphone and practically ran from the chamber. Disgusting. That was nothing but a photo op for her and Hoyer. She is particularly disgusting.
The right leader would have rejected whatever was written on the page or teleprompter. He would stopped everything and called attention to what had happened earlier. In his voice you would have heard a deep sorrow as he talked about the loss of those serving our great country and for those wounded. It would not have sounded scripted. You would have heard a request for a moment of silence, and an order for flags at half-mast....
The libs will not understand this.
I think the comparison to the “pet goat” is misapplied. Obama was under NO constraint to not lead w/ the Ft. Hood shootings. Bush, on the other hand, was in front of children, and trying to find a graceful exit rather than rush off like a freaked-out loon.
You can argue whether Bush acted correctly or not, but you can’t do the same with Obama here. He should have mentioned Ft. Hood immediately and offered a moment of silence THEN gone back to the teleprompter. I think even Bill Clinton would have done that (probably with a fake tear in his eye for bonus media points). Where is the compassion Liberals think they are so famous for? All I see is misappropriated egoism.
I don’t think that Obama has any more votes left to lose among the military community (& families) after yesterday’s performance. The only thing that can save him is the editor’s knife, because it was a midday newsconference that few people saw live.
Good, simple post by Clarice at American Thinker. Last Sunday on Fox with Chris Wallace, Rush was asked about the President’s vist to Dover. Rush called it a photo-op. He went on to claim he didn’t think obama cared, it was merely a photo-op. This proves Rush’s point.

He was scheduled to go to this Native American event held at the Dept of the Interior.
He learned about the Ft. Hood massacre BEFORE going to that event!

The Native American tribes give BIG $$$$ to Democrats and donated millions to his own campaign in 2008. I have no doubt this EVENT AND THE MILLIONS IN TAXPAYER MONEY IT REPRESENTS was basically a PAY BACK FOR THEIR CAMPAIGN MONEY AND A PLEA FOR MORE IN THE FUTURE (BEHIND IT ALL).
He made his stupid shout out idiotic comments BEFORE addressing the issue that was most on the minds of Americans and our military at that moment AND THEN mentioned the Ft. Hood “horrific violence”.
Late Thursday night the WH announced Obama was going to Walter Reed today to visit wounded soldiers.
Am SURE that announcement was made because the WH handlers started getting the flackback about Zero’s handling of the “crisis”.
They Claimed this visit to Walter Reed was planned before the Ft. Hood massacre.
TOTAL LIES.
You can bet he is more concerned about the shooter than the soldiers. He has no heart.

I won’t watch 0 on TV and when I read about this last night I just blew it off thinking that people were taking their dislike of the 0ne a little too far. I finally broke down and watched the youtube and was shocked at his nonchalance.
Totally agree. Obama could have shuffled the order of his remarks, putting the military first. But as we've seen with his dithering on the strategic decisions surrounding Afghanistan he has little regard for the troops.
Don't ever listen to what he says; look at how he acts.
Reading the Book was exactly what Bush should have done. He was calm under pressure, this is callous and heartless.
