It’s the doctors, stupid! I’m not sure why everyone is so shocked that all eight suspects in the attempted British terrorist attacks of last week are Medical Doctors (and that ALL eight suspects are tied to the British national healthcare system, the NHS). Readers of this site aren’t surprised by the doctor terrorists.
As you’ll recall, in my mid-May column, “When Your Doctor is a Muslim: Medical Terrorism Comes to America,” I wrote about many of the doctors who’ve been top-ranking terrorists and involved in terrorist plots. Also, of note, I’ve complained about the special visas available for foreign alien MDs and other medical personnel to practice in America in small towns and at universities. I’ve written about how this makes it easy for Islamic doctor terrorists to get in and stay in, without much of a background check. (Like America doesn’t already have enough medical doctors.)

She doesn’t mention the attack in the UK (I believe Glascow Scotland) where a car was set on fire and attempted to be rammed into an airport terminal. One of those conspirators (perhaps two) was a physician.

On the other hand, I underwent my first coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)in May 1983 at The Washington Hopspital Center. The lead physician on the team was a Pakistani. The cardiologist that referred me was from India. That procedure lasted almost 25 years. Thanks to them, I was able to run for years. My second CABG was done by some local Yankee surgeons. Hope I get as many out of the latter as I did the former.

And it is only going to get worse as the doctor shortage gets worse. much worse if we get public health. The number of foreign medical grads in UK and Canada is enormous.

Doctors, like airline pilots are put in positions of trust and are able to do great harm with little or no help.
Most western countries love to import medical professionals from a variety of different countries. If a terrorist is patient and ruthless, they can worm their way into places where they can inflict the maximum amount of damage. Therefore, they are trained, find entry less restrictive and then wait for the most opportune moment to strike.
There is also the potential for larger scale terror too. Perhaps the goal is access to US bioweapons.

The shooter, Hassan, was of Palestinian descent. Both his parents came from near Jerusalem.

This also happened in Mckeesport Pa,on 9/11, it was announced during a surgery and the surgeon cheered. I believe he was fired.
The same territory was Jordanian and then Israeli after 1967. One of his brothers currently lives in Jerusalem per AP.
Also is it any surprise the cousin lied? Did you hear him? He called the shooter a good American and blamed name calling for what his cousin did. Just another Muslim victim.

Thirteen dead and 31 wounded would be a bad day for the US military in Afghanistan, and a great victory for the Taliban. When it happens in Texas, in the heart of the biggest military base in the nation, at a processing center for soldiers either returning from or deploying to combat overseas, it is not merely a “tragedy” (as too many people called it) but a glimpse of a potentially fatal flaw at the heart of what we have called, since 9/11, the “war on terror”. Brave soldiers trained to hunt down and kill America’s enemy abroad were killed in the safety and security of home by, in essence, the same enemy – a man who believes in and supports everything the enemy does.
And he’s a US Army major.
And his superior officers and other authorities knew about his beliefs but seemed to think it was just a bit of harmless multicultural diversity – as if believing that “the Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor” (ie, his fellow American soldiers) and writing Internet paeans to the “noble” “heroism” of suicide bombers and, indeed, objectively supporting the other side in an active war is to be regarded as just some kind of alternative lifestyle that adds to the general vibrancy of the base.
When it emerged early on Thursday afternoon that the shooter was Nidal Malik Hasan, there appeared shortly thereafter on Twitter a flurry of posts with the striking formulation: “Please judge Major Malik Nadal [sic] by his actions and not by his name.”
