Glenn Beck sidelined by appendicitis

Glenn Beck is recovering from emergency surgery for appendicitis. He headed to the hospital in the middle of Wednesday’s radio show, leaving Pat Gray to fill in.

The appendectomy was confirmed later in the day by Judge Andrew Napolitano, who stepped in to host Beck’s TV show on Fox News Channel. Napolitano said Beck was expected to make a full recovery.

Glenn Beck yesterday was forced off the air by an attack of appendicitis.

The attack came on mid-afternoon during his radio show. The controversial commentator began complaining on the air that he wasn't feeling well and shortly after left his co-host, Pat Grey, to finish the program. Beck was taken by car to an unnamed Manhattan hospital where he underwent an appendectomy.

Christopher Balfe, the president of Mercury Radio where Beck's program airs, joked that "before going under, Glenn asked the doctor to draw out the surgery procedure on a blackboard."

A source said that he was expected to be off the air for the rest of the week.

I have had several of older people I know that had to have their Appendicts out. I had mine out when I was a teenager which is not unusal for a youngster. Wonder why older people are now having that problem?

OWGs (Old White Guys) are statistically unlikely to get appendicitis. Under Zer0’s health care, they will be left to die. It took me 24 hours to convince my local E-Room to take mine out.

I was looking forward to Friday’s show. I think part or all of it was going to be about Charles Paine’s “growing up” experience in Harlem. They took a film crew to Charles’ old ‘hood and wandered around talking about it. Charles said he grew up an Army brat in various places, and they settled in Harlem when he was 12 or so. That is where he first experienced the racism of the black community.....
