Here's a video of the Twilight Zone classic that was the forerunner of the two "V" series. We tried to remove the embedded ads, but to no avail (they are short and only slightly bothersome).
Like "V", this film is also loaded with ominous undertones regarding the dangerous agendas of politicians promising panaceas for the human condition.
