Kentucky Congressman John Yarmuth (D) was just on Fox News. In an exchange with Trace Gallagher he admitted that the Democrats never intended for the healthcare legislation to cut cost. Here are the quotes:
Trace: "But I thought the idea was to lower cost."
Yarmuth: "Nobody ever said we were ever going to bring the cost down."
Later in the exchange:
Yarmuth: "Nobody ever believed we could actually bring cost down."
And nobody still believes it.
“No one” except for Obama, Pelosi, Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, Henry Waxman, The “Honorable” Maxine Waters and certain other usual suspects. This guy is saying, “Whoa, who ya gonna believe, me? Or your own damn lying eyes and ears?”
>> Yarmuth: “Nobody ever said we were ever going to bring the cost down.”
Utterly disingenuous.
Putting the brakes on escalating costs were the very REASON they took it up in the first place.
If you cannot get to Wash DC on Thursday, visit your Congressman’s local office!
Actually.
HEHE!!
A different quote from the liar.
“What we’re trying to do is make an option available, a plan so that competition brings prices down, small businesses will be able to provide insurance and afford insurance for their employees,” Yarmuth said in defense of the plan introduced yesterday. “And if they can’t, then they can go into the marketplace and buy affordable insurance for themselves.”
then they can go into the marketplace and buy affordable insurance for themselves.
FROM WHO?
What you people are saying is that I will be rresponsible for providing the insurance. Me and every other TAXPAYER in the country while these people just skate.
I can’t wait to see that in a commercial soon!
Of course it’s not. It will cost more. It’s just a power grab and another way to funnel your money from the private sector and into the hands of the Federal government.
