256 dead US Soldiers in Afghanistan as Obama dithers and ignores McChrystal
Examiner.com ^ | October 25, 2009 | Marc Schenker

How many more US soldiers have to die before B. Hussein Obama does what only his generals—his most qualified voices—tell him to do regarding troop levels?! Dick Cheney is absolutely correct for decrying Obama as dithering while US troops are in battle because all you have to do is count the number of US war dead in Afghanistan from the time that Gen. McChrystal asked Obama for more troops, which was waaaay back on Aug. 30th! It is the opinion of this writer that less US troops would’ve died—so the ones that did die were preventable deaths—if Obama would’ve just done the sensible thing and given McChrystal what he needed then and there.

Oh, it’s not just little old me who feels this way—more tellingly, it’s even Democrats like Dianne Feinstein who believe that Obama’s dithering has led to the loss of US troops that needn’t have been!

The bottom line is that this pos has no concern about how many troops are killed. If anything, his actions tell me that he feels the more troops killed the better which would satisfy his radical left base.

Morale dips for American marines in Afghanistan

Stephen Grey

In a remote part of Helmand troops are dismayed by the ambivalence of locals and a sense that the Taliban can outlast them

A mile from South Station, an outpost of US marines in Helmand province, the tribal chief was openly hostile. “The Americans threaten our economy and take our land for bases. They promise much and deliver nothing,” he said.

“People here regard the American troops as occupiers,” said Haji Khan, a leader of the Baluch tribe, who rules like a medieval baron. “Young people are turning against them and in time will fight them.”

Inside South Station, soldiers are proud of the progress they have made. Until they arrived, this remote part of Helmand had not had a government presence for years. But many are pessimistic about where the conflict is heading.

Obama’s talking points on Afghanistan are completely jumbled. He says that Bush is to blame, but the problem is at least 10 times as bad under his policy as it was under Bush’s. He claimed that Bush did not pay enough attention to Afghanistan and that is why we’re in this mess, but the truth is that he’s not paying enough attention to Afghanistan, while there was not much going on in Afghanistan to pay attention to during the Bush administration because the Taliban was mainly in Pakistan. Obama argued throughout the last 8 years that the Taliban should be the focus of US counterterrorism policy, but now he says that the Taliban is no big deal, and we should focus on al Qaeda. He blames the Bush policy for Afghanistan, but he adopted the strategy that Bush left him during the transition, while at the same time persuading Bush not to talk about him doing that publicly. His Afghan policy has just been one miscue after another.

Indeed. I always wondered why the anti-US military leftist crowd seemed so “concerned” over casualties but never expressed similiar “outrage” over crime victims of their own constituencies. Seems like they could’ve cared less about the former while screaming like the little brats they are about the latter.

I can’t say it any better than that. God save and protect our brave ones over there.

“If anything, his actions tell me that he feels the more troops killed the better which would satisfy his radical left base.”

There are reasons for civilian control of the government. This is one of them, as disgusting as it seems to us, there are people on the left who want to see us get a bloody nose and walk away humbled from the Af-Pak region. They got their guy elected and now they get to do what they want. If we are going to stop them we need to recapture congress and force the issue then the White House and fix the whole situation.

I’m sure Obama see’s this as 256 fewer Republican voters. Not that he would count their ballots anyway.

My question is when are they going to get the troops from the surge that was decided last year? Why is McCrystal not getting the troops over that that congress already approved. That is the question nobody is asking.

I’m glad someone picked this story up. This is the other side of the lame MSM who refuse to tell the truth of our valiant soldiers who gave it all.

May their deaths be not in vain.

He works for the Saudis. Where did the $700 million in campaign money come from. The goal is to humiliate the U.S. Military in the face of Islam aka Islam defeated the U.S..

He has Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood (Saudis) moles in the white hut probably leaking intel back to the Taliban and Al Qeada.

I notice in the local shopper paper that a young African-American young man died serving in Afghanistan. He uses American blacks just like Pastor Manning has said.

The War in Afghanistan? Ugh, er, that's just a minor irritant. A fly in the room. I'll vote present until there's a crisis I can profit from. Besides, I'm meant for bigger and better things, like ruling the world after we take care of America:

I want to rule the post-American one world socialist/communist government, don'tcha' know?

War is a test of wills. The lack of reinforcements is only a symptom of Obama’s indecisiveness, emboldening our enemies.

Our Founding Fathers were incredibly wise men. We have to guard against the ones now in control from destroying what is left of the Constitution. The next election will be critical to the survival of our country.
