(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Department of Justice is refusing to allow the town of Kinston, N.C., to hold nonpartisan local elections on the grounds that African Americans cannot win election without being listed as Democrats on the ballot.
In a letter sent Saturday by to Kinston City Attorney James P. Cauley III, the Justice Department stated: “Removing the partisan cue in municipal elections will, in all likelihood, eliminate the single factor that allows black candidates to be elected to office.”
The department Tuesday also refused to answer questions from CNSNews.com about the letter.

Our local talk radio was all over this yesterday. The town is majority black (60%) and voted overwhelmingly for non partisan elections so this would seem to be the justice department telling those blacks who voted for this that they’re too stupid to be allowed to decide how they want to conduct their own elections.

And having been to Kinston, I have no doubt that they require this to vote for their masters of pie.
Obama is giving them irrefutable evidence for reaching such conclusion.
It's certainly yet another example of federal overreach under the Obama administration. Imagine if Bush had done this.

Yes, it is true. The blacks in Kinston have been labeled as too stupid to remember a black democrat candidate they should be voting for. So much for being color blind is right as it always is the blacks who want to see blacks and get whatever hand-out they can in Kinston. All this does is prove the Bell Curve and blacks should be ashamed of themselves over this! I am.
