What did he write down on the ground?
>What did he write down on the ground?
I don’t know; it doesn’t say. But, often overlooked is that Jesus says to the woman to sin no more. The KJV of the verse, Jn 8:11, is:
She said, “No man, Lord.”
And Jesus said unto her, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
So it CERTAINLY isn’t as though he is condoning sin; in fact, that he says ‘neither do I condemn thee’ implies that he could; and, theologically-speaking, as God He had EVERY right to do so.
Nobody knows what he wrote, but I’m betting that those who were bent on stoning “saw” their own sin written there, based on their reaction to it.
