Iran asks Pakistan to hand over terrorists.

After Jundallah group takes responsibility for the deadly attack in southeast Iran, Interior Minister calls on Islamabad to hand over the terrorists to Tehran for trial.

"Pakistan's negligence to submitting terrorists to Iran cannot be justified by any means. The Pakistani officials should be accountable to the terrorists attack in Sarbaz town," Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar said in a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malik.

Analysis: Now Iran has its own terrorism problem.

Iran, the country "credited" with being the world's No. 1 state-sponsor of terrorism, now has a terrorism problem of its own.

Indeed, Iran received a dose of its own medicine, when a shadowy Sunni separatist group named Jundullah targeted a group of high-level Iranian security officials with a lethal suicide bomb attack on Sunday. The attack killed the deputy commander of the Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guards Ground Forces, Gen. Noor Ali Shooshtari, as well as Rajab Ali Mohammadzadeh, deputy commander of the Guard in the restive Sistan-Baluchistan province, and at least 29 others. Dozens of people were wounded.

Nope, it doesn't look like "Pakistan" is responsible...

So the internal Iranian Jundallah claim no connection to the rebel Balochistan group within Pakistan. That wont stop the Iranians from targeting the mistaken or contrived external foreign threat. Supposedly the leader of the Iranian Jundallah group is residing within Pakistan ?

Well, all I meant was after my reading, there didn’t appear to be ANY state sponsored endorsement of any kind (including Pakistan) for this incident. It appears to me Jundallah is taking sole responsibility.

Here is a quote from the Long War Journal article noted in post no. 8 describing the group:

“Jundallah is a Baluchi insurgent group that operates in Pakistan’s Baluchistan provinces as well as in Sistan-Baluchistan in Iran. The group was founded in 2003 by Emir Abdul Malik Baluch, who is also known as Abdul Malik Rigi. Rigi currently leads Jundallah, which he renamed the Peoples Resistant Movement of Iran.”

No state will admit involvement. And no involvement was needed. However, the Iranians will manufacture a case against whichever foreign entity is convenient. Cannot find the link, but in an interview with the brother of the Jundallah leader, he claimed that the US gave the leader $100,000 in just one meeting. Again, probably not true, but the Iranians run it as the truth.

Here it is. From linked article in post #2.

In a recent interview with Press TV, Rigi's brother, Abdulhamid, confirmed that the Jundallah leader had established links with the US agents.

His brother said that in just one of his meetings with the US operatives, Rigi had received $100,000 to fuel sectarianism in Iran.

The Iranian government appears to be vying for the top jihadist propagandists.

The Iranian Leadership is just being played. Their benefactors are the ones we have to worry about.

Russia ready to help Iran fight terror: Medvedev

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Russia is ready to help Iran fight "terrorism", President Dmitry Medvedev said Monday, in a letter of condolence to his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad after a deadly attack on an elite force.

"The fight against the threat of terrorism and the extremism - wherever it comes from - requires all countries to join their forces," Medvedev said. "We are ready to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran to counter these threats," he added.

If I didn’t know any better I’d say it looks like the Russians are playing mind games with Iran.

My guess is the Russians are Coming. Nukes checkmated. That is what happens when you have a weak leader. Russians moving into theater. The escape route for our troops in Afghanistan may be closing. Of course, the Iranians could already have a nuke or two.

Lol what? Where do they get that idea? Jundallah claims responsibility and they’re blaming the US and Pakistan?? As far as I know Pakistan doesn’t have any connections to Jundallah, which is a Baluchi terrorist group, but Jundallah does have connections to al-Qaida. Pakistan’s Baluchis are big on pushing for seperating from Pakistan; I don’t think the Pakis would cooperate with foreign Baluchi groups when they could turn on them in an instant and work with the Paki Baluchis & help them secede, but I you never know. If Pak hated Iran enough they might.

Funny how it’s just Ahmadinnerjacket making the claim—where’s Khamenei, whom the regime claims is still alive? He’s dead, Jim.

(Also, if Jundallah were to strike, right after the supreme leader’s death would be a good time)
