Rochester, NY Operation "Can You Hear Us Now?"

The Rochester Operation "Can You Hear Me Now" rallies and march, is starting at the WHEC-TV Studios on 191 East Avenue. The rally will start at 11am on Saturday, 10/17/2007. Here's the map for the rally point:

We're starting things off with the Presentation of the Colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a few speeches.

We'll then proceed on our march that will follow this route through Downtown Rochester, across the Genesee River, ending at the Gannett Building, for a protest at our local newspaper, the Democrat and Chronicle:

BTW, we are conducting a peaceful, but spirited event and we have a permit from the City of Rochester and will be escorted by the Rochester Police Department for the entire event. I don't need to remind participants to be civil and mind their manners, but also to be loud!

Please, keep the focus on calling the media out for their slanted, leftist agenda and design your signs for this theme.

It's supposed to be a chilly day, with temperatures in the 40's and we all know how blustery Downtown Rochester can get, so wear a warm coat, hat and gloves. Bring a rain poncho, just in case we get showers!

I'll be looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday!

Great job - I pray all goes well for you - I hope to join the guys in Troy MI tomorrow

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. - Theodore Roosevelt

It was a pretty good rally and march. We had about 200 people show up across the street from the WHEC-TV studio on East Ave. They rented a nice PA, but it was missing the output cables, so we ended up using a bullhorn that somebody brought. There were some good speakers, including Rev. Tommy Davis. I led the Color Guard and we even had a woman who played the fife and a guy playing a drum, which set a nice tone and beat for the march. We marched down East Ave., then up Chestnut and zigzagged over to Broad St. and marched across the river and gathered in front of the War Memorial for another rally/protest across the street from the D&C. By the time we got there, we had around 100 people left.

We did get a mention on the WHEC-TV news. Here's the link to the article on their webpage:

Here's a link to the slide show of photos of the event:

I think there were about 200 people there.
