Good on you, I respect that.

I’m of Scots descent (many generations back) but it has never occurred to me to be anything but an American.

“They pulled the funding for the remainder of the Hunter fence. More of the border area is with out the fence
than what is fenced.

As long as idiots keep voting for democrat for congress or third party who take away from republicans we won’t have a majority to deal with this issue”

All true...but you leave out the fact that BUSH, ROVE, CHENEY and their immigration guru Grover Norquist didn’t want the fence, and PLENTY of GOP idiots are voting for McCain, Graham and their open border republican buddies!

We can’t clean out their house, but I’ll be darned if I can understand why republicans refuse to face their own corruption and clean their own house or AT LEAST follow the GOP platform that says NO AMNESTY. What happened to the GOp that had the guts to tell Nixon to just go away???

Would you stay with this GOP if a 3rd party came about that actually followed the rule of law??? Yes, Yes, I know as long as you all can stop it, THAT will never happen. It doesn’t seem to bother you all one bit that over a third of the citizens of this nation have NO representation.

I'll bet they weren't.

And God bless you and your family Crapgame. You remind me of one my closest friends (now mind, I’m in by late 60s), Juan C______. Juan was a LEGAL resident alien in the 60s. He enlisted in the Army, Infantry, fought in Vietnam (CIB and other recognitions), married another wonderful friend of ours Leticia, born here in Texas, they had two children.

Juan decided to get his citizenship after coming home from VN (and working for another few years), I asked him why he waited so long? He said, and I kid you not, “I wanted to make sure I EARNED my citizenship”. Juan asked me and my wife to be his sponsors when he was granted citizenship in the Brownsville, Texas federal courthouse.

It was an humbling honor to do so and we NEVER take citizenship in this country lightly or cheaply, especially not after Juan. Juan is who I measure citizens against when we talk of these things. Where are you Juan?

OK, then let’s apply Mexico’s border and immigration rules to Mexicans in America, and they can be loyal to Mexico by obeying it.

3rd parties only get around 2-5% of the vote.
They only split the republican vote to give the democrats a victory.
One reason Frankin won rather than coleman.
One reason Clinton won than Bush 41.

You have to do the math, voting third party is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

There is no real surprise in this. Look at what's hanging from the mirrors in the cars of just about any hispanic. It's ALWAYS the flag of their "home country". Never an American flag. They live here and work here but always have their allegiance to some other country.

Is this the America our men died for in WWII, WWI, Korea and Vietnam? Did they die and fight so that illegal aliens can come here and abuse our benevolence?

“3rd parties only get around 2-5% of the vote.”

Yep, as long as you republican die hards insist on it and keep promoting your rino’s! And that is recent history...do remember, Perot got 19% and the republican party was once a ‘third party’.

Can someone please explain why anyone would hold a loyalty to a nation that so disrespected them, that it encouraged them to flee?

Every European immigrant I have ever met just about spit on his homeland when compared to the U.S. Those who think like these Mexicans have selective memories and only remember the good times back home.

So far, I have only used the following confrontational argument agianst some La Raza types in the comments section of various newspapers. I suggest anyone respond to them in this same manner as too many Americans let their claims slide. This was in response to a "This used to be our land" or specifically to the "You stole this land" types:

"Only for the sake of argument, suppose we did steal your land? Back in 1847 both sides of the border looked exactly the same for a hundred miles in either direction. What did you do with the land we let you keep? We turned ours into a prosperous and wealth-generating area. You turned yours into a corrupt crime-ridden Hellhole that each year forces people to risk their lives in escaping."

An alternative I have also used:
"Let's see if I've got this right. Around 1300 the Aztecs show up and steal the land from the locals. You don't complain. In 1519 the Spaniards arrive and steal the land from the Aztecs. Unless you're a pure-bred Indian, your blood is tainted with those of thieves. You don't complain. In 1821 you steal the land from Spain. You don't complain. In 1847 we won this land in a war in which in every battle we were outnumbered and still won. Now you complain. Please 'splain to me the differences." I get no responses.

(I put in the dates as many of these La Raza types don't even know the history of the country they champion.)

No big surprise to me. I’ve had a family of mexicans living next door to me since I moved in 10 years ago.

In all that time, only two of them have ever bothered to learn English, and they keep strictly to themselves, even going as far as to hire mexican businessmen to do all of their home or car repairs for them.

Mexicans to an immigrant melting pot are like oil to water.

You’re right. They don’t know their history.

The Southwest of the United States was never conquered by Mexico. It was inhabited by Spaniards but with the exception of the Alamo, they didn’t really conquer it either.

The Mission system was the closest thing to actual habitation by Spain. Later on land grants were issued by Spain. The issuing party and those receiving those land grants didn’t compensate the Indians who owned or inhabited the land at the time of the land grants.

In 1825 Spain left Mexico and the land today known as the South Western United States. Around 1852 the United States took possession of the territories it owns today. It did so after winning the war with Mexico. It also compensated Mexico for the territory.

Mexico only held the land from 1825 to around 1852. The figure 26 years stands out in my mind here.

So the idea that Mexico had obtained the land with honor, and deserved to own it in perpetuity, is just worthless pap.

If they didn’t compensate the Indians they stole the land from, how could they fault the U.S. for obtaining the land.

I don’t fully understand how the land was broken up from the original land grant owners. It is unclear to me if most of it was done honorably, or pretty much by the same process the land grant owners used when they absconded with Indian lands.

These idiots on the streets have been fired by by Marxist front organizations, and haven’t a clue what they are talking about.
