If the kid were 18 it would be a different story or if she could prove conclusively that her life were in danger. Her parents are members of a cult that teaches converts leaving the faith must be killed, and she is just such a convert. Additionally you have a 17 year old telling you that her life is in danger.
What "proof" are you demanding? A dagger stuck in her heart?
Parents do not have the right to abuse their children.

All a kid has to do is go to school and say "Daddy hit me" and you'll have DCFS, FBI, SWAT and any other government agency breaking down the door. And they're not just going to ask daddy if he hit his child, and leave if he says no.
But seeing this is about Mooselimbs, everything changes.
