If Barack Obama had campaigned on what he has actually done in his first 300 days in office, would he have been elected? That's the question so many are asking today.
If Obama had told us he would appoint 34 czars, reporting only to himself and not vetted or confirmed in the constitutional way, building a powerful unitary executive branch of government, would he have been elected? What if he had told us that his green jobs czar had been a Communist, that the science czar wrote in a college textbook that compulsory "green abortions" are an acceptable way to control population growth and that the diversity czar has spoken publicly of getting white media executives to "step down" in favor of minorities?
If Obama had told us he would take over the automobile industry faster than any socialist dictator ever nationalized an industry, fire the CEO of General Motors and replace him with a Democratic Party campaign contributor, would Obama have been elected? If Obama had campaigned on closing down thousands of profitable car dealers, nearly all Republicans, would we have believed that this vindictive financial retaliation against those who didn't vote for Obama could happen in America?
If Hugo Chavez, the communist who nationalized most of Venezuela's industries, had said before the election that "Comrade Obama" would nationalize the U.S. automobile industry and Chavez would "end up to his right," would anybody have believed it?(snip)
If Obama had declared during his campaign that his first major speech abroad would be to the Muslim world and that he would proclaim in Muslim Turkey that "one of the great strengths of the United States is ... we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation," would he have been elected? (snip)

Someone wasn’t paying attention in class...he is doing EXACTLY what he said he would...he is fundamentally changing America and spreading the wealth around...
ACORN is the answer to Zero’s election and all that they pulled.
He did, among his core constituents on the Left.
He lied to everyone else, including religious black Christians who are socially conservative and oppose abortion and same sex relations.
Millions were just ready to oblige, they were mighty happy to be lied to and welcomed any opportunity to get around any inconvenient revelations. Too bad, we all will pay for this.

That’s right. We didn’t know much about obama before the election, but what we did know was frightening - and he’s living up to every campaign promise he made.
The question should be “If the American people had not allowed themselves to be sweet-talked by a cool guy with bad friends and no accomplishments, would obama have been elected?”
In 2012 he’ll have to run on what he’s done. If by then we’re not living in a socialist utopia, conservatives and conservatism could rise again.

Yes, for those who were listening, his message was clear. As for the rest, all they heard was “hope and change.” And they hated Bush. And they wanted to cleanse their white guilt. And with all the vote fraud that occurred, I don’t believe he really had a majority of the voters behind him.

Unfortunately, I believe he would have been elected (maybe by a narrower margin) anyway.
BO told us exactly what he was going to do, the chumps who voted for him were not listening. The Republican Party was not listening either, they gave us McCain...and the rest is history!
If you weren't there life to witness and you don't subscribe to talk radio, FreeRepublic or to a lesser extent Fox news, how would you know about his Marxist associations?
Regardless, he's not shy about who he is now. He's in our face as he promised. He tells his followers, "they can't stop us" and he believes it.
He's at least giving us a chance to fight.
Well you know, it's not like there was no information out there that was being shouted to obviously stupid, dense, and obstinate people. If there was nothing sinister about forcing socialism on America, he wouldn’t have had to lie about it and had the pravda media echo “this isn’t socialist”.

Weirdly enough, this is one of the rationales the Chinese have on these huge billboards justifying mandatory abortions (after the first child).
For anyone to claim they didn’t know what Obama would do if elected demonstrates to me that they weren’t paying attention.

Yep! But, let’s not forget that the Dems made the EXACT same mistake (TWICE) and the Repugs failed to learn from other’s mistakes! Twice in a row, the Dems put up candidates that simply could NOT be elected in the general election (Gore and Kerry)! For everyone who says it is all Bush’s fault that we got Obamao, remember the left has been trying to do this far-left reach for EIGHT YEARS - this didn’t “just happen” because of Bush!
This has been a planned, long-term attack on the social fabric that is America!
Its a given that 0bama is an out and out liar. He will say anything to appease his base, especially in campaign mode. That being said, there shouldn’t be anybody who didn’t know this last year and voted for him with the assumption that he wasn’t lying. The history was laid out previously and should have been taken into account for the election. Therefore you shouldn’t have voted for him under any circumstances.
There is also nothing that has surprised me about this administration. I don’t like any of it, but it was all laid out in the campaign speeches and the position papers last year. Few expected that he would reach as far as he has so fast.

Exactly right. In 2008 they found the secret, a black candidate who could appeal to guilty whites. When rev Jackson ran he was so well known and inarticulate that liberals had cover to not support him. With 0bama he was well spoken and came off as mainstream so he took the "guilty" white vote. The fact that the GOP ran McLame made Bambam a shoe in.
I agree—he was focus-grouped way ahead of time and found to be their perfect candidate for the reasons you stated. And, as I have heard from many elderly voters, “he has such a lovely family...”

Personally, I have the feeling that the Kool Aid drinkers, the ACORN crooks, and America’s legions of reverse racists would still have put him over the top - especially given the lackluster performance of McCain.
zero is a Democrat. The only way Democrats get elected these days is to lie and obfuscate who they are and what they do. If they actually told the truth about what they stand for and how they want to destroy America, most of them would not be elected.

I agree completely! In putting McLame up, the Repugs did what the Dems did in 2000 and 2004: they put up a candidate from their party that even their own people didn’t like!
Even worse, with the added problems of NON-Conservative Bush being identified as a “conservative” by the MSM and the faulting economy (FALSELY identified as having started in Dec 07 (to give cover to the Dems who have been running the economy into the ground since they took over in 2006)) and then putting Mr. “I really don’t know who the enemy is, but if I did, I still wouldn’t fight “ McStupid up for election was the CHERRY on top! This was not ONE thing; it was a culmination of gross failures on the part of the Repugs and pushing from the left!
Through all of this, I really, REALLY would like to know how bad McRINO would have lost against Obamao if he had NOT selected Palin! I mean, could you even imagine if he had selected Joe “I’m a bigger RINO than McStupid” Lieberman or Mitt “Repug forced healthcare is better than Dem forced healthcare” Romney?
I believe McAmnesty would have been the only candidate EVER to have lost ALL 50 states (or 57 states in this particular election)!!

Barack Obama has a truckload of problems on his hands. He has enacted policies that fit the description of impeachable offenses. He can be thankful that Congress is controlled by his partners-in-crime, or else he would be facing serious charges.

Two problems:
First, the GOP nomination process produced (and may have been designed to produce) a candidate that provided little appeal or opposition to Obama’s stated domestic aims and ran one of the most feeble campaigns ever.
Second, too many suffering from “Bush fatigue” saw in the empty vessel that was Obama’s public image whatever they wanted to see. Those who took the time to look beyond the mainstream media that eagerly flacked for Obama saw the warning signs. Sadly, too few bothered.
National Journal ranked him as the most liberal Senator in the Senate-even more liberal than the self-proclaimed socialist, Bernie Sanders of Vermont. People who thought he was some moderate who would govern from the center were kidding themselves.
[Two problems:]
I agree with your two issues, but again this did not happen overnight! This was a culmination of multiple errors on the part of the Repugs (bad fiscal policy on the domestic front, Bush’s refusal to defend himself from BLATANT lies and distortions, bad nomination process, feeble campaign, prevalent RINO feelings throughout, etc...) and the Dems pushing (false “empty vessel” status on Obama, McCain = Bush = Conservative = Bad, their “Socialism is next to Godly” message, Repugs want to remove your “right” to their money, etc...).
This was not a one issue item; it was the straw that broke the camel’s back!!
