I don’t know if this even an accurate record of the conversation. There are two major camps in the birther ranks. Some think the problem is that Bummer was born outside of the USA, while others think the problem is that Bummer was born in the USA but to foreign subjects.
Interesting little self-indulging story I have, if I may.
I few months ago, before the Chris Matthews and DWTS thing, I was eating a burger at a place called “Willie’s” in Sugar Land TX, about a mile from the house.
I look over at the table right next to me and there sits Tom DeLay. Iwas with my wife, my son and my son’s girl freind and I told the who it was. The Son’s girl freind says “Are you sure? This guy is short!” Having met Tom DeLay in 1996, I can tell you, he’s shorter than me and I’m only 5’-6” myself.
We left him alone and didn’t bother him. When he left, I caught his eye and I waved to him. He smiled and waved back.
When I got home, there was a message on my answering machine from our current Rep. Pete Olsen, saying he was sorry he missed us, that we were invited to join a teleconference town meeting.
I was thinking to myself “Boy, these congressman are just coming out of the woodwork tonight!”
