Komen for the Cure Races as Research Shows Abortion-Breast Cancer Link

Washington, DC -- With October as breast cancer awareness month, Komen for the Cure is sponsoring races and events across the country to raise awareness of the potentially fatal disease. However, Komen isn't providing women with information on a way to help prevent breast cancer by not having an abortion.

Just another reason not to support them.

As if that ridiculous pink equipment the NFL made players and Refs wear this weekend wasn't bad enough... I used to work with a guy who was really excited about buying a pink Eagles hat.
“Don't you think it's cool?”
“It's pink. It's gay.”
“But it's got an Eagle on the front.”

Also, why just Breast Cancer? Why not all kinds of cancer? What if it just raised money for prostate cancer? I'm pretty sure normal men can't get breast cancer.

Instead they have actually contributed money to Planned Parenthood. That is when I stopped supporting them in any way. This saddens me because I would like to support the research to end a disease that struck my 20 year old daughter.

The advances in breast cancer treatment have been amazing. That Susan G Koman now decides to financially endorse behavior that is linked to breast cancer is disgusting.

In the beginning Komen was just interested in raising breast cancer "awareness." I guess they got a lot of complaints because they raised a lot of money and did not fork it over to research. Now it seems they are supporting research.

However, they now support Planned Parenthood, which endorses and actually participates in abortive activities that lead to breast cancer. Although many would like to ignore the evidence.

This is the evidence -- When a women becomes pregnant, the cells in the tissues of her breasts, to use a layman's term, become receptive to accepting the new flood of hormones necessary to prepare the breasts for feeding a child. When the pregnancy is unnaturally interrupted through a surgical or chemical abortion (as opposed to a natural miscarriage created by nature) the cells in the breast remain continually receptive. In other words they become fair game for cancer cells that would normally be rejected.

A natural miscarriage returns the cells to their normal position. A chemical or surgical abortion does not.

The fact that Komen ignores this medical knowledge truly undermines their integrity.

It's good to raise awareness. But, honestly, these days most everyone is aware. However, they do women a real disservice by withholding information like the abortion-cancer link.

A real service would involve sharing new information with each year's 'awareness' campaigns. It's disappointing to see them not step up to the growing (and every year more so) connection, adding that to their awareness campaigns. Disappointing, and potentially dangerous, to the women they pledge to inform and empower.

I'm pretty sure normal men can't get breast cancer.

There was a recent story about men who served/trained at the Camp Lejeune, NC Marine Corps base. There are 39 men who lived/trained there that have breast cancer. See link.

Males are susceptible to breast cancer. It simply doesn't occur at the rates nor get the attention that females get.
