Honduras [a percursor for Obama's own action?]

Freedom is rare. History proves that oppression, slavery, torture and totalitarian control are the rule not the exception. America and the freedom that our Constitution guarantees are unique. Since its inception, America has been a symbol of freedom and the world has looked to us to promote, support and protect the concept that government of the people, for the people, and by the people is possible and real. The situation in Honduras right now and the Obama Administration’s response provides some very real evidence this will change.

Unlike other totalitarian countries in Latin America, Honduras has a Constitution that protects its Republic from would-be dictators. So, earlier this year, when Honduran President Manuel Zelaya introduced a referendum to change the Constitution to permit him to run for another term outside of the term limits clearly specified, the Supreme Court and Congress took action. You see, nobody trusts Zelaya. He is closely tied to Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. It is widely believed that Zelaya, with the direction and support of his powerful friends, desires to become dictator of Honduras. Zelaya’s move was declared illegal by the Supreme Court. The Honduran Congress rejected the move as well and the plan was denounced by both the majority and opposition political parties, the Catholic Church and the Honduran Human Rights Commission. Zelaya pushed it forward anyway and attempted to fire military leaders that refused to cooperate. So the Supreme Court with the support of Congress and the Honduran people ordered the military to remove Zelaya from the Country. Supreme Court Justice Rosalinda Cruz explains: “Honduras’s military acted under judicial orders in deposing President Manuel Zelaya. The only thing the armed forces did was carry out an arrest order. There is no doubt he was preparing his own coup by conspiring to shut down the congress and courts.”

The Investor’s Business Daily reported that Honduras had: “ample reason to remove its dangerous, out-of-control President who had repeatedly violated his country’s Constitution and laws…it’s the same blueprint for a rigged political system that’s made former democracies like Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador into shells of free countries.” The Wall Street Journal reported: “Zelaya’s removal was a democratic response to rule by the mob. The Supreme Court quickly turned power over to the President of the Honduran Congress, a man from the same party as Zelaya. It was a triumph of the law.”

There you have it. Chalk one up for the good guys. A free country saves itself from a would-be corrupt dictator by using the measures outlined in its Constitution. It was beautiful and a great victory for Freedom.

Now, predictably, other Latin American dictators were offended by this turn of events. Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro publicly accused the Hondurans of perpetrating an illegal military coup. This is ridiculous. The Honduran Constitution clearly authorizes the necessary steps that the Supreme Court took. Of course, that doesn’t matter to Chavez and Castro. They were hoping to install a puppet regime in Honduras to increase their power over the region and prevent democracy from spreading and threatening their control.

Now for the most troubling aspect of this whole sordid affair: the Obama Administration’s response. Instead of standing with the Honduran people trying to hold their Constitutional Republic together under tremendous pressure from Zelaya, Chavez and Castro, Barack Obama came out in support of would-be dictator Manuel Zelaya. In a bizarre and terrifying proclamation, President Obama said that his administration would “stand with democracy” and support Zelaya’s reinstatement. United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, chimed in and said: “Honduras’ actions should be condemned by all.” What? Excuse me? Our President and Secretary of State rejected the rights of the free and became tools of propaganda for Communist dictators?

Fidel Castro wasted no time: “Even Mrs. Clinton had declared that Zelaya is the only President of Honduras and the Honduran coup leaders cannot breathe without the support of the U.S.” Chavez had already threatened to provide military force to re-instate Zelaya. Castro sent a message to Hondurans: the U.S. doesn’t support you; this is going to get violent; you better fall in line or else. How sad for the Honduran people? How sad for us?

It gets worse. The Obama Administration then cut-off aid to Honduras and banned it’s new, legal President from speaking at the U.N. Keep in mind that Obama gladly provides aid and a voice to Iran who has a long history of terrorizing Americans and provides the weapons and terrorists that kill our Soldiers all over the world. He sat back while Iran murdered citizen protesters in the streets and said that he couldn’t: “meddle in their affairs” but has no problem meddling in Honduras by openly declaring his support for an illegal dictatorship, withdrawing aid to people just trying to preserve their freedom and banning a legally installed President from entering our Country.

On September 23, deposed ex-President Manuel Zelaya, with the help of Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Barack Obama and the Brazilian embassy, re-entered Honduras. This sparked violence in the streets between Zelaya supporters and Honduran citizens trying to preserve their Republic. With such powerful allies, this saga is far from over.

Despite the magnitude of these events and implications of the Obama Administration’s actions, the media has given this matter little attention. Americans need answers to the following questions: do we still stand for freedom and democracy? why does our President consistently support, through action and inaction, the methods of Chavez, Putin, Castro and Ahmadinijad? why does our President support willful violation of an established Republic’s Constitution? could he be setting a precedent for his own future willful violation of our Constitution? The answers to these questions could prove to be quite troubling and the events in Honduras could merely be a precursor of what’s in store for us.

Another call into my libturd Tim Walz to rail on him (or his libturd staff) for demoRATs & 0bozo's support of thug leftist commie dictators instead of defending the lawful action taken by the Honduras Congress, Supreme Court & military in carrying out orders from the Supreme Court.

Hey 0bozo you dumb ass, why not try being one of the good guys for a change!!!

Obama may have the trappings of a President, but his policies border on tyranny and treason.

Bush II was actually ANOTHER transnationalist and a form of “Obama Light”.
