WASHINGTON -- President Obama yesterday rolled out the red carpet -- and handed out doctors' white coats as well, just so nobody missed his hard-sell health-care message.
In a heavy-handed attempt at reviving support for health-care reform, the White House orchestrated a massive photo op to buttress its claim that front-line physicians support Obama.
A sea of 150 white-coated doctors, all enthusiastically supportive of the president and representing all 50 states, looked as if they were at a costume party as they posed in the Rose Garden before hearing Obama's pitch for the Democratic overhaul bills moving through Congress.
OOPS! A crowd of 150 doctors gathers in the Rose Garden to support the health-care overhaul -- as White House staffers scramble to hand out camera-ready white coats to those who forgot their own.
The physicians, all invited guests, were told to bring their white lab coats to make sure that TV cameras captured the image.
But some docs apparently forgot, failing to meet the White House dress code by showing up in business suits or dresses.
So the White House rustled up white coats for them and handed them to the suited physicians who had taken seats in the sun-splashed lawn area...

How much did it cost the taxpayers to have those lab coats prepared in advance?
Who in the White House orchestrates all these photo ops? This must be at least one full time, not to mention very demanding job. Let’s find out who is in charge of that. I am very curious.
Why are most of these doctors Black? Something is fishy.

Ah, the puppets are on display. I saw a photo the other day on this (after everyone donned their lab coat) and somehow I knew then this was a phony deal. We have a very stupid citizenry to believe such a hoax.
How many were outside protesting? That’s what I thought.

Wonder if any of those people were really doctors. And doctors of what? Just because they have Doctor in front of there name, doesn’t make them a medical doctor. Maybe they all are, but, it would be interesting to find out.
Are we even sure everybody in that crowd was a practicing physician? How many had been disciplined by their state boards? How many had been denied malpractice insurance, or were paying extremely high rates in order to continue practice? Were they all GPs, or were they made up of a preponderance of specialists in some field or another?
So many questions, that would remain unsanswered, perhaps forever.
If I could, I don’t know how, I would make a youtube vid, with this photo op and the music from Funny Farm playing. Any freeper know how???

I doubt there was a bonafide practicing Medical Doctor among them.
My wife is a general surgeon in private practice. She does not wear a white “lab coat” while making rounds or seeing patients in the office. It is light blue, to distinguish the family practice docs in the group who wear dark blue. This is s joke!!!! Except too many dumb, misinformed Obama supporters (are there any other types?) will not see the charade.

Yer right! There are doctorates in just about any subject you can think of. My Pastor has a doctorate but I wouldn't go see him about the corn on my little toe.

I am a “Doctor of Philosophy” and I wear a white lab coat while working.
I actually have as much stake in health care “reform” as any MD. Once medical care is rationed, and expensive treatments are only reserved for the very rich who can pay out of pocket, no one is going to be spending for research on the next generation of drugs, therapies, etc. And I will be out of a job. As will a huge number of people. Biotech is a HUGE industry.

Maybe it was the guy who left the cast of House to go work at the White House. Kal Penn is the new associate director of the Office of Public Liaison. Maybe he took a few lab coats with him when he left.

It won’t be long until all these fake photo ops are produced in an animation studio. I’m serious here. They will contrive all the doctors they need, in a computer. This goes for any and all their evil needs. We will be watching cartoons and told that they are real. Mark my words here, all ye Freepers! If anyone here thinks the democrats will not do anything for power, then that person doesn’t know democrats.
These are doctors who don’t do much actual practice, but are in administrative positions - positions that won’t change much under 0bama care. It is the front-line doctors who are getting upset about the prospects of 0bama care.
Further - it would certainly be interesting to get a guest list for that event and see how many have even EVER practiced medicine...
