The socially liberal but politically conservative Meghan McCain has a new friend who shows no traces of conservatism -- Tila Tequila.
The MTV reality television star of "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," was spotted at Mr. Chow this weekend in Beverly Hills with Sen. John McCain's daughter, who Nguyen (Tequila's real last name) claims is her new "girlfriend."
Will Meghan's new bodacious BFF make an entrance into the political arena? Let's hope not.

Tila Nguyen[1] (born October 24, 1981), better known by her stage name Tila Tequila, is a Singapore-born singer, model, and television personality. She is known for her appearances in Stuff, Maxim, Penthouse.
In an interview with Import Tuner, Nguyen said she had been searching for a sense of identity: “I was really confused then, [because] at first I thought I was black, then I thought I was Hispanic and joined a cholo gang”.
On October 9, 2007, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila aired on MTV. The program is a bisexual-themed reality dating show where sixteen straight men and sixteen lesbian women compete for Tequila’s affections, the twist being that the contestants were not aware of her bisexuality until the end of the first episode.
On September 6, 2009 Nguyen was allegedly choked and restrained by boyfriend Shawne Merriman, who was later arrested. She was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the event, though Nguyen denies these claims, citing an allergy to alcohol, though her allergy has been disputed. San Diego district attorney Bonnie Dumanis decided not to charge Merriman after her office spent three days reviewing reports from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

I sure hope this is true. I look forward to Meghan further debasing herself and thus invalidating herself as a credible poltical figure, and by extension making an ass out of her dad (ok, granted, he is already an ass, but every little bit helps).
Tila Nguyen was born in Singapore, but moved to Houston, Texas when she was just a year old. Born to French-Vietnamese parents, Nguyen lived in a strict Buddhist community until she was eight. She had a turbulent childhood: at eleven she tried heroin, at thirteen she began to drink, at fourteen she was sent to a boarding school for several months, at fifteen she got her first tattoo and began to smoke, and she ran away to New York City at sixteen.

I had to think for awhile on this... she doesn't want her mom's beer business profits taxed at such a high rate that there's no money left to keep dear Meghan in Miss Clairol, designer duds, fake fingernails and Popeyes Chicken and biscuits.
Didn’t she get started by having a blog? That’s all I remember. She had a popular blog and suddenly she was on tv. Why, I don’t know. But she and Meagain are perfect for each other. Almost half a brain between them.
