The idiots in congress should have done a “lend-lease” deal something like FDR did with Great Britain. Send them tanks, guns, ammo, equipment, etc., but no direct cash aid.

Alas, that’s not going to happen. That money is long gone never to be repaid in any manner, and most likely a fat chunk of it was funneled to terrorist groups sworn to our annihilation. America is the third world’s piggy bank, and accountability doesn’t and never will exist.
Anybody who didn’t realize we were bribing the Pakistani politicians to “support” us in Afghanistan wasn’t paying attention. This money wasn’t diverted, except formally. It went exactly where it was intended to go.
I know...but one must not give up hope that one day the goons in Washington will find some common sense. How could you give a country like Pakistan known for it’s iffy, wishy washy, corrupt government $6.6 billion dollars with no accountability?
I mean, c’mon, my little desk calculator will only take $66 million on it...and divide that by an average salary of $50,000...that is one year’s salary for 1320 Americans!!! Imagine if it would calculate $6.6 billion!
Money is fungible, it can be used for any purpose. They very nature of it means that it will always be mis-used by countries that we give it to.
Stop giving it away!
What? Corruption and misuse of foreign aid dollars? How many decades has this been going on? I am shocked.....shocked!
I knew there was something fishy going on. There's no way they could have spent $6b without increasing the Pakistani military's capabilities. Now we know only $500m was spent on the military.
