The blog-o-sphere and the media (in their own little world) was all-a-buzz the other day when a poll on Facebook was discovered that asked if President Obama should be assassinated. Before it was removed, 700 people voted.
Had any of the reporters or bloggers actually used the search function on Facebook, they would have found several groups on the social networking site dedicated to killing, or wanting the death of, a political leader, particularly the death of one George W. Bush.
This group professes that We all Want To Kill George Bush It has 427 members and has been on Facebook since 2007.

I quit Facebook a few weeks ago. I joined in a discussion about what Tea Parties are and was horribly attacked by some liberal in New Jersey. It got so bad I dropped my page.
That’s disgusting, who are these people? I hope they catch the people who signed on. I don’t like most of Obama’s policies but, would never want to see him assassinated. In fact I pray for him and our country just about everyday.

I haven’t had to much trouble with Facebook, except from my ultra liberal niece. But, she’s family, I love her and want to keep the communication going. You never know, you might be the only light in the place.
Just noticed the one about W. They should be booted and charged with threatening a former President. We really live in an upside down world. Where wrong is right, and right is wrong. The bible talks about that, in the days before Christ return.
I tried and tried and woke up each morning with hate mail! It was becoming a bit scary, especially since I have no clue who this guy really is, his photo was a clenched green fist!
I used to be the worst liberal on the planet. There is still a small amount of hope for her.

I don’t blame you then. Did you contact anyone from Facebook, file a complaint? These people need to be held accountable. The people running facebook and the one posting the threats.

Some of these groups were around back in 2007, so there were groups and members back then that openly professed they wanted Bush dead.
President Obama is the target of a poll and its gone; and the media picks up on the story.
I seriously believe that reporters have no concept of the “search” button on web sites.
I don’t think the liberal journalists or liberal media thinks at all. They all seem to be clones of one another, dishonest and untrustworthy.
Did you report him to FB ? They could have tracked it and
then you just defriend him and that is that.
HaHa! I’ve got a couple of cousins who update their status so often that I wish I could remove them from my friend list, but they’re family. I ignore them online, but that function doesn’t work on my Blackberry, where I do most of my facebook viewing.
One thing I do is accept friend requests from people I really don’t want to offend, then I remove them a couple of weeks later. If they have 400 friends, they’ll never know that I’m gone, and I don’t care about my best friend’s girlfriend from high school...
I’ve been dropped by 2 libs.
They say “can I ask you a question” and then when you give them an honest answer, they go ballistic.
One of them is sending private messages to people saying strange things I’ve supposedly done to get others to drop me.

Cripes...I did my search on “George Bush”...Should have gone simpler!
