CORAL GABLES, Fla. Costa Rica's President Oscar Arias on Tuesday commended the interim president of Honduras for saying he will reverse an emergency decree suspending civil liberties in his country.
But he warned that the results of the Nov. 29 presidential election in Honduras would not be internationally recognized if it is held while interim President Robert Micheletti's government is in charge.
Arias said Micheletti's government "has not moved an inch" in negotiations to return ousted President Manuel Zelaya with limited authority.

Also to blame was the Honduran constitution, he said. He called it "the worst in the entire world" and "an invitation to coups."
It lacks an impeachment process, "so I imagine the only way of calling the president to account was to oust him," he said. "This is something that will have to be resolved, and the best way to do this is, if we can't have a constitutional election, is to have certain reforms so this Honduran constitution ceases to be the worst in the entire world."

Um Oscar - in case you haven’t noticed you are President of COSTA RICA! Not Honduras - it’s none of your business. Stick to your own banana republic with beautiful beaches, hotel room break-ins and rampant prostitution.
How do you say “Piss Off!!!” in Spanish?
Honduran Constitution! It is THEIR’s and it is the LAW!!
Apparently the Venezuelan constitution is much better. It allows the nationalization of businesses, the closing of opposition media, and a dictator for life.
“Costa Rica’s President Oscar Arias.
Go away loser. Maybe Bill Clinton will visit you, as prostitution is 1/4 of your GDP.
That’s right, what happens in Honduras has absolutely no influence on Costa Rica. They’re worlds apart.
Furthermore the President of Costa Rica should have no opinion whatsoever on any subject outside the borders of Costa Rica.
If “we” can’t have....? When did Costa Rica become part of Honduras?
Panama already said they would recognize the election results, especially now that Zelaya is IN the country. The central American states are all that count (Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Belize, Nicaragua).
Arias is no longer President of Costa Rica. He’s a bit shop worn, like Carter.
This whole mess is Obama’s stupid knee-jerk reaction to support Hugo and Fidel.
Please note that Arias previously had his own country’s constitution amended to allow him to serve indefinitely. History is prologue; the big O (who intends to rule for life) and the other wannabe tinpot dictators-for-life are especially irritated by the example of Honduras doing exactly what should, must, be done to such usurpers. Throw the bastards out.
¡vete a la mierda Oscar, Zelaya isn't even eligible to run.
BASTA! ENOUGH!
Venezuela and Nicaragua don't have an impeachment process either!
Well, since the Honduran Constitution was based on ours, has been held up as a model by many NGO’s, and is one of the longest-running in LatAm, I guess that tells you where Arias stands.
now, what do YOU think about it?
Pound sand, Arias, you commie stooge.
Not satisfied with meddleing, now they want to
modify the Honduran constitution because they
“don’t like it”.
Tell them all to go to hell!
in fact our constitution is that good in preventing power grab that even forbids reatives of a current or former pres to run for the presidency. BTW Arias wants a power grab via his bro.
