CBC member: Health insurance penalties 'indefensible'

Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.), an often contrarian member of the Congressional Black Caucus, on Sunday called proposed penalties against small business that do not provide their workers health insurance, "indefensible."
The congressman addressed insurance mandates that would levy fines against small businesses of 25 or more employees that do not provide health insurance or would require a business to offer health coverage based on the size of its payroll.
"Frankly, the House leadership seems wedded to keeping that in," Davis told the Montgomery (Ala.) Advertiser. "And the more you look at it, the more indefensible that is."

Good for Davis. The cracks are beginning to show.
He doesn't believe in a separate ObaBlack Caucus penal health insurance plan.
He likes the Uncle Tom Insurance.Its been good to him and his constituants.
Just looking at it from the Obathing perspective.
Davis is going oout on a limb here, and we should applaud his courage if not his party.

Wonder what his morality monitor will say when he notices that young, healthy people end up paying the premiums equal to a 50 year old? How elese will you raise enough funds to cover the empty promise? I guess its moral to dictate incomes though, as long as it hits people you don’t like; doctors, nurses, drug companies, pharmacy’s, and any other white/asian dominated business.

Davis also voted against the hate crimes bill, and AFAIK he’s the only Congresscritter to admit that he was wrong to defend the Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac system.

No he won’t. I would think the CBC and Pelosi know very well he is running for governor of a southern state so he HAS to speak the truth.
BUT... in the end this will bite the DNC in the butt- nationally times 2. The truth about they’re big gov corrupt power grabs comes out while they lose many D seats in state governmant.
