SPLC alarm: 'Militiamen, white supremacists, anti-Semites, nativists, tax protesters coalescing'
A private activist organization apparently is picking up where the federal government left off when the Department of Homeland Security issued its "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" warning that returning veterans and people in a long list of other categories were potential terrorists.
Only the new warning, delivered recently to police officers, sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel across the country, is lumping those dedicated to the constitutional principles on which the nation was founded together with crazed killers.
The fall 2009 "Intelligence Report" was issued recently by the Southern Poverty Law Center, where officials confirmed to WND it was published specifically for and delivered to law enforcement personnel across the nation. The SPLC did not respond to a WND request for other comment
But the article groups members of various organizations such as Oathkeepers – whose mainly military and law enforcement members pledge to uphold their constitutional duties, including the duty to question and refuse what appear to be illegitimate orders – with a man "said to be interested in joining a militia" who is accused of killing two deputies in Florida.
"The situation has many authorities worried," the report to police officers says. "Militiamen, white supremacists, anti-Semites, nativists, tax protesters and a range of other activists of the radical right are cross-pollinating and may even be coalescing."
Garbage, says a supporter of the individual rights of gun ownership contained in the Second Amendment.
Mike Vanderboegh is with the Sipsey Street Irregulars, who describe themselves as among the 3 percent as in: "During the American revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3 percent of the colonists."

Once the communists and their fellow travelers who are ruling this nation consolidate their power those who whine about ecology and making certain animals have attorneys will be eliminated. But then so will we!
The left is giving us a peek about how they view the world, that’s all.
The problem for the left is severe, though. On their side, they have the media, federal bureaucrats, academics, and the lawyers. On our side, we have the military and police, many states, the churches, and the people.
Guess which side is better armed? That’s why the left has had to be incremental in its movements, like a person tip-toeing past a sleeping bear.
If it came down to a fight, the left would fold like a deck of cards, and they know it. Their only real hope is creating a sense of despair among most Americans, and trying to institute change through institutions of culture, like the media and the schools. Both strategies are not without their flaws, either - homeschoolers and those who think can run circles around leftist propoganda.
Including this leftist propoganda, too. Metaphorically give the left the finger and do it with a smile and gleam in your eye, as if to say, “Yeah, I do own guns. Lots of them. And I’m willing to defend my liberty. Got a problem with that?”

You're right, except in place of lawyers, I would make that pretty much the whole judicial system. You could also in Hollywood in that group.

I think they're right. I put stock in the "current political climate" - mainly the surge towards anti-American Socialism, Fascism, and not to put too nice a face on it, communism. Not only is that fueling a lot of activism, it {expletive}-well should get people off their backsides and actively opposing obama, pelosi, and their minions. What they are doing and trying to do to this Country is anathema to conservatives, moderates, and no-doubt would be to the founding fathers and everyone who has fought and died to protect this Country.

And if they do anything to attempt to quell, stifle, or prevent our political free-speech and right to assemble they will simply confirm our worst socialist/fascist fears about obama and his cohorts. Every warning like this simply makes it that much easier to cast the current administration as oppressive and anti-American.
No problem with that group. They are unarmed.

I think that it is important to talk to our uniformed officers of the law and see where they actually are in respect to steam rolling over our constitutional rights. They need to understand that violating the foundations of our Republic puts them on the side of tyranny, and, while they may enjoy a slight advantage over the population in the first stages of the coming revolt, they will be tried as criminals when we prevail; which we will.

This has been going on for years. The federal Gov has been giving training on “terrorism” to its many agencies for more than a decade, and the content of the “training” focuses entirely on supposed threats from the right. Add to that the warnings put out by the SPLC, which overwhelmingly cite threats from only the right, and the flavor of the hysteria comes through loud and clear.
The problem is that the cops and agents are a captive audience; one could only hope that once in a while, an observant cop might ask the question about the training’s motivation.
