His administration is actively pursuing a foreign policy of detente and self-abnegation. Washington no longer wants - or believes it is possible - to remain the last, sole hyperpower.

However, the state run media is more in force and in cahoots with this very radical agenda. Our politicians are more interested in the next taxpayer funded junket to be taken and the porkulus given to keep their seats, than in keeping the USA safe. I really fear another 9/11 in some form or another on ZERO’s watch—and he will do little about it—lip service at best. The State dept is heavily Communist by now. I don’t know about the CIA. The IRS is partisan(no Charlie Rangel investigation).

The sad part is, under Clinton and gridlock, all the military cuts at least helped move toward a balanced budget. It was a flawed strategy but there was an unintended benefit.

Baraq is not only cutting the military but expanding the debt at an incredible rate. Double your disaster.

Neither capitalists or communists want a world in which everyone is equal. Capitalists recognize that people will make different amounts of effort, and that this will inevitably lead to differing levels of success. But they also believe that everyone has the right to succeed and achieve to the highest levels, based on their efforts and talents, irrespective of where they start from.

Communists, on the other hand, believe in equality of the masses, under those who control the state. They believe in a system in which one cannot differentiate themselves by their efforts, but only by their service to the state, or their connections to those who control the state. It’s the ultimate manifestation of stature based on ‘who you know, not what you know’. In this type of system the elites are never challenged by the masses. It’s a perfect set up for the all too common pathetic narcissists who are attracted to politics, worldwide.

Agreed. America is unique in the world. Just because we have a pathetic girl (no offense to women everywhere) weakly masquerading as a man & President is not The End.

Observe the Tea parties, the protests, the anger of the citizens. The tide is shifting against _resident jOker and his slimy ilk. But the time it's taking in shifting is frustratingly-slow.

Nevertheless, with the fall of ACORN, there are bound to be other scandals that will ultimately bubble to the surface. The more the Bush presidency fades into History, the more obvious it becomes that the jOker is a pure lightweight who's too arrogant to admit he's completely in over his head.

And that arrogance will be HIS downfall. Not America's. We'll survive his next 3 years.

If you want to know why full-fledged socialism is an inevitability here in the U.S., just go back to those "town hall" demonstrations related to health care reform and see how many older conservatives in those meetings were hell-bent on preserving the status quo in Medicare.
