This is a prime example of a law that was supposed to have good intentions, but ended having unintended consequences. As is usually the case, the law comes down on the worng side of the issue, overextending its reach and creating more authoritarian control over our daily lives.
Lisa Snyder of Middleville is threatened by the State of Michigan for having the audacity to watch her neighbors kids. According to WZZM13 News, the neighborhood school bus stop is right in front of Snyder's home. It arrives after her neighbors need to be at work, so she watches three of their children for 15-40 minutes until the bus comes.
Let me repeat that...SHE WATCHES THREE KIDS.
Some nosy, bitter, "government-will take-care-of-me" neighbor called in a complaint to the Department of Human Services and the State issued Snyder a stern warning threat to get licensed or "face the consequences".

Middleville is South East of Grand Rapids. Near Hastings.
Imagine what having the Government, a totalitarian Health Care nanny state will be like? It will be neighbors reporting people who are overweight, eating the wrong foods,
smoking, or parents will be jailed because their kid was allowed to have pop and candy, against the mandate of the state, or at least be charged with abuse and neglect.
And in line with what ObaMao’s health care, there will be government workers monitoring our homes that have children, looking for violations.

I have seen plenty of liberal MEN (members of the "New Castrati") who wouldn't hesitate to make a complaint like this.
Has anyone else ever noticed that liberals only want to keep the government out of the bedroom, but they insist that some government nosepicker be watching every other part of your house?
The same type of liberal that turned this woman in and wants government intervention is the same type of liberal that wants the school nurse to be able to take an under-age child to go to local Planned Parenthood to get an abortion! It’s not for the children - it’s for the control! Screw them all. It’s beyond time to take the power back from the government.
