Global Warming 'Science'
The American Thinker ^ | September 27, 2009 | John McLaughlin

It was a startling admission. Prior to passage of "Cap-and-Trade" legislation by the House of Representatives, Mr. Henry Waxman (D, CA), House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman and co-sponsor of the bill, in responding to a question from Mr. Joe Barton (R, TX) at a May 22 hearing, admitted the following:

"I certainly don't claim that I know everything that's in this bill. I know we left it to ....we relied very heavily on the scientists on the IPCC and others and the consensus they have that there is a problem with global warming, it's having an impact, and that we need to reduce it by the amounts they think we need to achieve in order to avoid some of the consequences. That's what I know, but I don't know the details. I rely on the scientists."

Maybe now we can find out who actually wrote this piece of excrement legislation. It appears that Nostrilitis Waxman almost spilled the beans on who wrote it like some other “Einstein” revealed that the Apollo Project wrote the Stimulus Bill. The same needs to be done to the Heath Care Bills too.

“scientists”

Throwing that word in is supposed to convince everyone. This is a good example of a scriptural background protecting us from snowjobs.

” - - - avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.”. - I Timothy 6:20

The most damning argument against the warmists, in my opinion, is the fact that we know the earth was much warmer in the past as recently as less than one thousand years ago. If an increase in global temps is supposed to destroy all life on the planet, then why do we still have life forms after those temp increases?

Warmist engage a level of casuistry that would make a Jesuit blush. They have deployed a new weapon in the cause of transnationalism: the computer model.

Computer models are like captured Taliban or butterfly ballots: if you torture them enough they'll say anything you want them to. Environmentalism is like dermatology: the patient never dies and the patient never gets better. Unfortunately, sometimes the patient goes broke. The challenge for the practitioner is to balance the public’s fear of the unknown and unknowable future with its willingness to yield even greater chunks of its freedom and treasure to the witch doctors of Warmism. Warmism is an especially virulent strain of the environmentalism virus, spread by unhygienic and promiscuous contact with the lamestream media.

The single most important item that Waxman knows is that the "scientists" have determined that massive new taxes and government control will fix global warming.

On July 22, 2009, the Science and Public Policy Institute released a study showing that the U.S. government alone has spent more than $79 billion of taxpayers' money since 1989 on policies related to climate change, including science and technology research, administration, public relations campaigns, foreign aid, and tax breaks.

I had been wondering about how much it was!

Then suddenly, just two years later, the IPCC produced a major game changer. Its Third Assessment Report published in 1997 contained the results of a theoretical analysis by Michael Mann, an Associate Professor at Pennsylvania State University, and two other researchers purporting to show climate temperature reconstruction using statistical modeling of a large number of observations and tree ring proxies. This was the birth of the "Hockey Stick" graph [2] labeled MBH98 in a paper, Global-Scale Temperature Patterns and Climate Forcing Over the Past Six Centuries, published by Nature magazine in 1998 [3].

--snip--

The hockey stick graph presented visually arresting scientific "support" for the political contention that fossil-fuel emissions were causing higher temperatures. As such, it paved the way for adoption of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol by numerous countries and provided the basis for a worldwide campaign to alarm and motivate government officials to limit production of such fossil fuels.

Something fishy?

It’s not about science, it’s about conning the idiots in government to believe this silliness. Like the devastating mortgage games to destroy our financial system, the global warming phase uses “scientists” to get laws passed that will destroy our way of life from a different angle.

Since you probably don’t believe in conspiracy theories, you’ll write this off as ridiculous. If that’s what you think, you’re dead wrong. The video below shows how the biggest scam in history was passed off as the biggest mystery in history.

The idiots in government don’t really believe in it either. They just see the global warming racket as a way to grab more power and tax dollars.

Just Dhimmis being Dhimmis.
