The real enigma is why liberal Jews find it an anathema to support their progressive values and Israel at the same time. Why must liberal values and support for Israel be mutually exclusive? American Jews did not have Israel at the top of their list of priorities when determining for whom to vote in this last election, but now that Obama is in office, I question their silent response to his clearly antagonistic approach to Israel. (A Pew Research Center poll conducted in January of this year indicated that almost twice as many conservatives as liberals sympathize with Israel in the Middle East conflict.)
One of the issues with which American Jews are concerned is racism. In particular, many Jews appeared to fall for the racism card prior to the election and continue to support the accusation by various Democrats and the biggest racist and anti-Semite of them all, Jimmy Carter. Those that do not blindly support Obama are racist. And yet with anti-Semitism on the rise and support for Israel decreasing the world over, it is unfathomable that Jews in this country remain silent.
Their guy is in office and just as he owes the unions, George Soros, and all of the other left-wing constituencies that voted for him, Obama owes American Jews more than just a meeting with the anti-Israel group J Street and a conference call with a carefully screened group of rabbis in which he presses them to plug his plans for socialized medicine in their Rosh Hashana sermons....

Don't look for much from Jewish Liberals. A more self interested ego-centric group does not exist in America.Their idea of public service is to shout "Mazel Tov" a couple of times a year and then scurry back to their little hidey holes where they pretend they are not Jews.
As such they cannot be counted on for anything, except to have fingers up each others butts trying to decide which way the wind is blowing.
Sadly, they seem to have a genetic predisposition to being subservient and the footstools of the world. Except that they are a hell of a group of nationalists and fighters but only in their own land.
Half my family are liberal Jews.
Read the history of the Russian Bolshevik revolution. Numerous characters in this sad tale were Jews (as was Karl Marx). The collective mentality is so strong among some Jews that is overwhelms any concept of religion or a “motherland.” In fact, many liberal Jews abandon religion altogether (although they retain the affiliation as Jews).
So, many of my Jewish relatives couldn’t care less about Israel AND actually side with Palestinians. Makes my blood boil at family gatherings.
It is amazing how gutless they are.

Of course they are statists first. That is why:
1. liberal Jews accept selling out Israel
2. liberal women accepted a woman abuserin the White House without batting an eye and now side with religions nuts who abuse women.
3. liberal African-Americans accept an ex-Klans man as a key Dim in the Senate and policy after policy that wrecks their community and their families.
I will admit the Jews of any of the groups who historically supported the Dim should recognize the history of how bad states can run off the rails and destroy even those who help build it.

Yep, I got one a coworker and he was for anything Israel’s did under Bush, but was in the ACLU and Moveon to defend terrorists against the USG. Now he likes Obama and doesnt defend Israel much, believing Obama’s retoric
Jews actively PROMOTE the racist/victim card for blacks, but most of all for themselves. Victimhood is the cloak they wear which enables them to attack white Christian values, ethics and culture to include mocking and degrading the Founding Fathers. Jews didn't care for Jesus Christ nor his followers over two thousand years, and they don't now. Obama and his ilk appear to be just what they want. My Jewish friends are ultra liberal in their political views, BUT much more conservative when it comes to their own families' expectations and teachings.

Jewish....religion.......but Hebrew......ethnicity. They are a race of people. It’s not just a religious implication when people refer to Jews, it is an ethnicity being referred to as well. Although, many people have ‘converted’ to Judaism, the religion...there are the Hebrew Jews; whom are the most perplexing (imo) segment of the entire Jewish population. Not the Israeli population but the American Jews. My manager is Jewish and also Hebrew....and someone I’m extremely fond of but....considered our friendship dead after the election because of his stance on politics. I always knew he was liberal but he actually verbally attacked me during the campaign. It was unsettling to say the least. But his being liberal does not make him any less Jewish or Hebrew.
Same place the Catholic outrage is. They aren't Jews or Catholics, they are just Democrats. These are the people that shaped the golden calf right after God had just released them from slavery. Did you ever wonder who would do something that stupid? Well, now you know.

Seems some Jews are communists or communist lite first and foremost. The Jewish part is more of a cultural thing. JINO’s IMO.
Oddly, a good percentage of the communist type, seems to think what is good for the goose is not good for the gander and they are animals more equal than others in the Orwellian Utopia they envision.

Communism is a religion of its own and refuses to share with others. In fact it must destroy others. That is in keeping with your observation.
