Politics: In yet another vote against transparency, the Senate killed an amendment imposing legislative oversight on unconfirmed White House officials. Shouldn't we know who they are and what they're doing?
Green czar Van Jones is gone, forced to leave the administration after Fox News and the conservative blogosphere revealed his past as a self-avowed communist. Jones had issues that some argue should have been discussed in confirmation hearings that never occurred before he assumed his position.
Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, would have liked to have learned of Jones' communist links and more before this man, who believes that white America deliberately pours its pollution into minority communities and who seeks redistribution of wealth in the name of environmental justice, assumed a position of some power.
So Collins on Thursday submitted an amendment to an Interior Department bill that would withhold funding for the creation of any new, unconfirmed czar positions until the administration allows nominees to be questioned by Congress. Once confirmed, all czars would be required to produce every two years a detailed "public, written report" of their actions and involvement in the creation of policy, rules and regulations.

Absolutely. So why are they being so "nontransparent" about these people? What is it about them? Is it something they may all have in common that would not relect well on his haughtiness also known as Zero.
Because more of them are known to be affiliated with the socialist and/or communist parties in the US.
Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis has ties to the Communist Party, DSA, Socialist International and Cuba.
David Bonior (formerly number two Democrat in Congress) who is working for Obama to re-unite the AFL-CIO and Change to Win is a paid up DSA member.
Carol Browner (Energy/Climate change) has ties to the Socialist International-which despite its name now includes several ‘former’ communist parties — and China as an “observer”.
David Axelrod was mentored by two Communist Party linked activists, Don Rose and David S Canter in his early days in Chicago. At one point Canter, an importer of Soviet literature was required to register as an agent of the Soviet Union.
Van Jones, was of course involved with STORM and the Bay Area Committees of Correspondence.
New manufacturing Czar Ron Bloom is an anti-capitalist with some links to DSA

Sad to say, I’m not surprized. Democrat Senators know what’s going on with the czars. They either approve or are too fat, cozy and unwilling to do anything about it.
The time that some may feel we need to burn the Constitution, is the time we need to stand in front of it and protect it...
It has always been worth it...
When you swear to uphold and defend the Constitution against ALL enemies foriegn and domestic (as some of us have done) it is not so much we are physically protecting words on a pieve of paper...
The Constitution means to me that it is the people who we need to defend in a more physical sense...The Constitution (the people), are much bigger than words on a piece of paper...
It is something extremely important to know and understand, and the guidlines it represents, but then again if there are enough people who respect it, live it, and would die for it...Then I believe those people are worth every syllable written down on that document...
Just an idea I’ve had on the subject...
