Author confirms Bill Ayers helped Obama write 'Dreams'
WND ^ | 9-23-09 | Art Moore

Confirming the literary detective work of WND columnist Jack Cashill prior to the 2008 election, author Christopher Andersen says in a newly released book that former domestic terrorist William Ayers helped Barack Obama write the president's highly acclaimed memoir "Dreams from My Father."

ANYONE who read Cashill’s highly persuasive pieces in WND, knew this MONTHS AGO. I saw Andersen interviewed just last night,(was it on Hannity) and ,yes, he confirmed it, but offered no credit to anyone but himself (implicitly) for the research. Bad move on his part. This guy could not be
nudged into making much of a judgement on either Michelle or Barack. Quite disappointing, but that , I guess, is not
“what he does”. Question is, now, does a more ‘mainstream’ writer like biographer Andersen ,give these claims any more legitimacy than Jack Cashill, who only has an Internet following? SOMEONE should put this as a direct question to Obama, or at least call him out on this oft-lied-about connection.

Congratulations again with Highest Praises to Dr. Jack Cashill for His breakthru Analysis and Investigative Findings that Found the Unrepentant Terroristand Pentagon Bomber, Disgraceful, Degenerate, Dispicable and Abhorent William Ayers actually wrote almost ALL of ZERO OBAMAMMI’S ALLEGED “MEMOIRS!” This is all the more dispicable because OBAMA denied repeatedly any associations of substance with the Unrepentant Terrorist AYERS and his Dispicable Wife Bernaddette Dohrn who Murdered a Law Enforcement Officer in Cold Blood. Now we know the Co-Founder of Ayer’s Weatherman has Chaired The APOLLO GROUP of Radicals that WROTE almost totally OBAMA HUSSEIN’S “$780 BILLION DOLLAR “STIMULUS PLAN BOONDOOGLE” That Diverts $8.5 BILLION DOLLARS TO THE DISPICABLE AND CORRUPT ACORN ORGANIZATION! But OBOZO on Sunday denied any knowledge of that Disgusting Funding or His Close Association and Leadership within ACORN!

"There was a literary cabal there in Chicago," Andersen continued. "They were all giving each other quotes, blurbs to promote their respective books."

If that's true, there may have been others who worked on Dreams as well, so that Ayers's contributions may be less significant than Cashill said.

Bear in mind that Andersen's speciality is books about celebrities, particularly the Kennedys, though.

It will be interesting to see what Andersen's evidence is, if he has real testimony or documentation about Ayers role.

Another question is whether the distinctive stylistic "fingerprint" that Cashill is talking about is or isn't really there (in a statistically significant way).

Last year, I thought it was much ado about nothing, that Cashill jumped to a conclusion based on a few sketchy similarities.

It would be something if Andersen's claim held water. I might have to eat my hat.

There is a website called ratemyprofessor.com where students can give feed-back about their professor. I looked up Bill Ayers at the University of IL at Chicago last year. One student said something like “Don’t get into a conversation with this guy if you are conservative or from a military background.” I noticed that eventually this blurb was removed.

” writes that Obama was faced with a deadline with Time Books to submit his manuscript after already
having canceled a contract with Simon & Schuster.
Confronted with the threat of a second failure, his wife, Michelle,
suggested he seek the help of “his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers.”

Hmmmm.
Obama’s sister Maya told the New York Times in May 2008 that Barry and Michelle moved to Indonesia for several months
in the early 90s, so he could finish his book after he failed to meet the first deadline.
Hat tip to Jim Geraghty at NRO in June 2008 , for being the only member of the media to notice this eye popper in the New York Times article.

” His half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, said he eventually retreated to Bali
( Indonesia ) for several months
with his wife, Michelle, “to find a peaceful sanctuary where there were no phones.”
The Obamas became ex pats in Indonesia for several months.
If George and Laura Bush or Todd and Sarah Palin moved to Indonesia
“ for several months “ you can bet every media outlet would have been all over this odd and unexplained departure.
And you would think Kenya would be a quiet place with no phones ....
Plus, the United States has many quiet places.
