“Younger children simply “don’t have as mature an immune system,” Fauci explained. So a first dose of vaccine against a flu strain they’ve never experienced acts as an introduction to it, while a booster shortly thereafter revs up their immune response.”

There is no way in hell we won’t MORE STRONG GERMS injected into our kids or older people who have failing immune systems.

It’s really ALL about CONTROL.

I’d rather have the flu too and allow my own body to fight a stupid flu.

“I think it was during the Clinton (could have been Bush), administration, there was an article I read where the government made big Pharma develop these vaccines and then they couldn’t sell them and lost big money. Does anyone recollect this story? I think this is all a hoax and just a way to scare the public into getting a 35 dollar shot! “

I remember it. Pharms LOOSE money on it. They have NO INCENTIVE to make it because of GOVERNMENT putting price controls on it. I see it as a GOVERNMENT CONTROL ISSUE.

Seven cents per day is enough to keep most people's vitamin D3 blood levels to near-summertime levels, and afford them similar protection. (Not much flu or colds spread in the summer).

This from the Vitamin D Council:

H1N1 Swine Flu and Vitamin D

Dr. Cannell receives crucial emails from two physicians who have evidence vitamin D is protective against H1N1 Swine Flu.

Read the emails in our September 2009 "Special Report" edition of our Vitamin D Newsletter: Vitamin D and H1N1 Swine Flu.

Learn about the profound effects vitamin D has on the immune system and why it could potentially be a potent ally this coming swine flu season!

I have a relative who is a pharmacist at Wal Mart, and she says they are selling D3 like crazy.

Sam’s Club has a large bottle of 2,000 IU D3 for under $10.

I’d be much more comfortable with that recommendation if there were multiple double blind, placebo studies.

The biggest concern I have is that in our relatively small town, we had 200 cases of H1N1 in August. That would be a high monthly number for us in the winter flu season. This was in the summer in kids in their late teens and early 20’s. The seasonal elevation of Vitamin D does not appear to be protective this year.

Personally, I am taking D3 and getting the immunization. I’ve already had the regular flu shot and I think I will have access to the H1N1 vaccine in 2-3 weeks.

I’ll take the hit for the team and report back.

So was the 1917 pandemic caused by the flu shot? It killed more doughboys than WW1.

“Almost every day I thank God I am allergic to most vaccines, all those that are made with eggs.”

That is a really odd thing to say.

Don't know, wasn't there. Based on the information I can find, I say no.

What I do know is that I do not trust the FDA (govt run) or the big Pharms. I have first had information about how through doctors patients are manipulated to use certain drugs. And then how the doctors atttempt to keep them on those drugs.

The other thing I know is that each year not one of the 300 people that I work with are sick, then in the middle of October we pass out flu shots, and then the people that got the shot get sick, and then that gets passed around the whole building for a month or so. The building starts to sounds like a TB ward.

I find your theory of cause and effect interesting. It goes against all available medical evidence and there are other more likely reasons but the theory is interesting.

Can’t comment too much on the Pharma, physician and FDA conspiracy theories. I have a different perspective on the matter and a minimalistic philosophy on the practice of medicine.
