Remembering

I just looked at a photograph of a leader. A man that inspired millions across the fruited plains and wove a tapestry that knit together a coalition unseen in modern times.

This man was from the Midwest and knew small town American values. This man knew that America's best days were ahead of it. This man fought a totalitarian empire and liberal opponents in this country that accused him of trying to start World War Three, unknowing that we were in World War Three and he was determined to win it.

Millions behind the iron curtain are free today. Millions of Poles, who he stood by during the army crackdown and told Americans to light a candle in our windows for the Polish People. My family did just that. We stood with this man, his concepts of our future and what the role of government should be and more importantly what it shouldn't be.

This man handed his baton off to another man who did not understand that he was a steward, a keeper of the flame and in four short years, the torch was extinguished. It was rekindled by a maverick in the Congress, but unable to lead, to excel and to establish the limited government made possible by their mandate, the American people fell away disappointed and dismayed at the defeat at the threshold of victory.

And so now the American people are yearning for a leader. A person of outstanding quality that will tell the truth and strike at the heart of the degenerate throngs that have denied us school prayer, codified abortion, attempted to legitimize homosexuality, disassemble our military defenses, expand government to unimaginable sizes and reach into our daily lives. They search for such a person to rally the spirit and hearts so broken by the lack of noble character, that millions fail to even care to vote due to apathy and disappointment.

So yes, I shed a tear for my president. The man who will always be my president. Till the day I lay with my fathers and pass into the great past, he will be my president.

God in heaven, give us another Ronald Wilson Reagan. Give us a chance at that great city on a hill, and the belief that the blood that has been shed in defense of liberty and justice across the globe has not been in vain.

Ronald Reagan, I love you, where are you?

I agree totally. Unfortunately, I believe Reagan was one in a million, and no politician today could hold a candle to him.

I think it is very possible. She seems to be positioning herself. Definately a good woman who wakes up a lot of people. All the nonsense, even by RINO’s that she isn’t ready, is not going anywhere. Right now, Sarah is my choice for 2012. She will be ready by then. We will need a real “savior” to actually save the country by then. The sorry, Evil 0ne in the White House now is waking more and more people up.
