Contrite St. John's Univ. student behind alleged massacre threats on Facebook says booze to blame BY KERRY BURKE DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

SNIPPET: "A St. John's University freshman who posted messages on Facebook threatening to launch a "Virginia Tech attack" at the Queens campus told the Daily News that he was just drunk and never would have caused anyone harm."
SNIPPET: "Santiago, who lives in Washington Heights with his mom and younger sister, was arrested and charged with one count of making a terroristic threat.
He was released on $2,000 cash bail after his arraignment Wednesday night in Queens Criminal Court and is due back in court Oct. 1. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison."
SNIPPET: "According to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, Santiago posted messages on Facebook Monday night saying he was going "crazy" and that "people should watch as he does some Virginia Tech [expletive]."
He also posted messages saying "you know I will" do it and telling friends to make sure people watched CNN." SNIPPET: "St. John's did not issue a statement, saying only that the the police were conducting the investigation and the university was cooperating."

St. John’s has one of the prettiest urban campuses that I have ever seen. The chapel is great. Apparently a number of St. John’s alumni were killed in the 9-11 treachery and that chapel was funded by some of the families of those killed.
Yeh, that’s the great thing about the Internet - it allows you to say stupid, self-incriminatory things to millions of people all at once! The Post button is forever, kid. But then I guess you figured that one out by now.
